How to remove the handle on my delta shower aystem.
I have a round shower handle which appears to have some sort of screw which attaches the handle to the stem. The unit was installed in my home in 1991 but has never been used until now and I do not know the model number of the unit. A parts catalogue indicates it is probably a phillips head screw but it appeares that is not the case. Any thoughts on how to pursue this problem?

Answer:
Thank you for your post. A small phillips head would remove the screw unless hard water has caused it to not move. We recommend trying a 50/50 water and vingar to help loosen the screw.
