Rated 3.1 out of 5 by 13 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Like the look but dislike the water flow I bought this shower head from Lowes and had it professionally installed by their licensed contractor. I am very disappointed in the water flow from the unit. How do I increase this? I replaced this unit after using a Delta hand-held shower head that had none of these issues. The new one has multiple settings but they are terrible and virtually useless since the water flow seems to be so minimal. I'm thinking of returning this unit to Lowes for a different model entirely. We bought this unit based on our own prior experiences with Delta shower heads and our designer's glowing recommendations. We are very disappointed. May 8, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Do not buy this showerhead We bought this last month for a new shower install. It worked OK for about a week, then the flow problems started. If you never ever remove the hand-held unit, then you may get a good product with decent flow.. If however, you ever remove the handheld unit, then all bets are off. I have given up trying to figure out what exactly is wrong with it, my best guess is either the button is sticking the switch isn't opening properly. Its not the water supply because everything else runs fine... Less than a month - and I bought Delta because of their good rep for quality products - that are easily fixed... November 18, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Looks nice but cheap quality As a General Contractor, I expect products to perform flawlessly for my clients. As such, when I remodeled my own master bathroom, my wife picked out this shower valve along with the vanity faucets to match. Immediately, I noticed how "cheap" the quality was when I took it out of the box. The handheld shower has a cheap and light weight feel. The way the hand held portion "snaps" into the stationary shower head, it's a matter of time it will fail. It seems to only be held in by small plastic tabs. I get that Lowe's is trying to hit a price point but that doesn't mean that the manufacturer(s) (Delta in this case) should sacrafice quality to do so. I give this product a tumbs down to quality; a thumbs up to appearance and neutral in the performance of it. It performs just like any other PricePfister ,Kohler, Moen or Grohe unit I have ever installed. June 12, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice rainfall-type shower head This is a nice combination of a rainfall-type head and a regular shower WITH a handheld shower component. Handheld piece clips easily and securely into the larger shower head affixed to the spout. Four settings on the handheld (and center) head, plus a push-button OFF function. Three settings on the larger mounted head allow for all variations of using the center, larger, or both heads. Very nice shower, and well made. June 28, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not able to get hot water This shower is very cool, but unfortunately, like many other reviews, I am having trouble getting hot water from the showerhead. The lever to set temperature seems to stop short of going all the way to "H", so the water is barely hot...closer to warm. If this was fixed somehow, it would be an awesome shower and I would recommend to all my friends! March 16, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this faucet Bought this faucet for a master bathroom renovation. I enjoy the multi shower sprays. That was the feature that drew me to purchasing it, plus the look of the bigger shower head. I like that the hand held is easy to remove. One draw back, the flexible hose is not long enough. August 2, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love the shower head but... We love the shower head but not so much the handle - although the markings for hot and cold are there, the handle only goes up to the middle instead of all the way to the H for hot.Kind of weird.... February 26, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by I like the features of this showerhead I found it easy to install. It looks great and works very well. June 19, 2016

Answer:
Hi Frustrated, Thank you for your question!
While it is possible to remove flow restrictors from shower heads, we strongly advise against it for several reasons. Flow restrictors for faucets are an integral part of most aerators and it is generally not possible or desirable to remove them.

Our showering devices are specifically designed to operate most efficiently at the flow rate controlled by the flow restrictor. Removing the flow restrictor from an showering device will result in improper operation and a very uncomfortable experience.

For water conservation purposes, most plumbing codes require faucets and showering devices to not exceed a certain maximum flow rate. Removing the flow restrictors could cause these devices to longer meet these codes.

Brandis

142710-SS-I does universal mean it will work on other branded valves such as Price Pfister or Moen

I am not sure the brand of the current valve in the wall as there are no markings on the handle or exposed plumbing so I want to know if "universal" means that it will fit on all brands. Thank you

Answer:
Hi Dan, Thank you for your question! The 142710-SS has universal rough in valve body meaning it can be used with any of the multi choice trims we offer. We recommend only using our Delta valves with our Delta trims and do not have any information on if our products will work with other brands.

Is there a shorter shower arm?

Is there a shorter shower arm or an adapter to use with no arm? Using this in a stall type shower of an older home and it seems the back wall is getting most of the water spray instead of the person showering. The length of the arm added to the dimension of the shower head itself just doesn't seem conducive to this application. Love this model but may have to replace with just a shower head if we can't solve the poor design issue.

Answer:
Hi Kevin, Thank you for your question. To tighten the handle on your model 142710-RB-I faucet you will need to remove the round button on the end of the handle. Once the button is pried off you will have access to the screw that attaches the handle to the cartridge. Tightening the screw should firmly attach the handle to the faucet. Here is a link to the parts diagram for your model to help with the repair.

Escutcheon has different span between screws

We are trying to replace our builder installed shower fixture to change from Chrome to Bronze in our bathroom. The existing unit is a different brand and the span between screws is different for the existing Escutcheon than the one for this unit....Is there anything we can do to avoid changing out the plumping behind the wall?

Model # 142710-1

Just purchesed a 142710-1 and beginning the replacement install. The original tube/shower fittings have been removed. It used CPVC and then iron on the tub outlet. Your instructions do not give the option of CPVC. Only copper, iron or PET. Is that correct I need to change over to PET or one of the others?

Answer:
Hi Dan, You can use CPVC on the hot and cold inlets and running from the valve to the showerhead on your model 142710-I faucet. You will need to use galvanized pipe or copper for the tub spout connection, all the way from the valve to the spout.

Removing Hand-Held Showerhead

A "gentle" pull does not do the job for this shower, which was just installed today. It takes two hands and a very powerful jerk to separate the pieces. Can anything be done to fix this?

Hi Karen, Thank you for your question. The hand shower locks into the fixed showerhead portion to prevent it from falling out. Lifting out the bottom of the handle is the easiest way to remove the handshower.
