Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by This product works great The product works very well in our bathroom. It might perform better if the shower handle was placed in the middle and the user could turn the handle in either direction. Currently, in order to turn the shower off, the user must turn the handle completely toward the cold side. Due to this, when the shower is turned on cold water comes first and then it is gradually warmed. September 16, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Looks Good Works Great I had this installed by a contractor in 2010. We have not had any problems with its function with the exception that the hot water valve must be adjusted manually and he did not leave the adjustment tool with us. I would not buy this exact type again only because of the way it must be adjusted to the hot water. I put a warning label [that I wrote] on the hot water tank & in the medicine cabinet as a reminder. The shower head has a wonderful flow, the handle is easy to use & comfortable to touch, the tubs stop plug is just a little tricky to align closed & easy to pull to drain. We have hard water so lots of spots to polish off. June 13, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Smooth Operation and Adjustability This item replaces an old (15 years) Delta tub/shower combo in a remodeled (new tile walls and floor tile) master bath. Since all my plumbing is sweated copper I had a professional install the new one while the walls were down. Also had them raise the shower head connection up about 8 inches. Finally no ducking down to get your head wet. The new combo looks great and works smoothly. I really like the ability to setup stops to control how much hot water goes into the mix. This feature can prevent inadvertent scalding. And it's easy to change. Just pop off the spout reset the stop to either colder or hotter and Bob's your Uncle. Highly recommend. June 4, 2015

Answer:
Hi Mike G, Thank you for your question. You can plug or cap off the tub spout port on the R10000 rough in valve and install the model 144910 as a shower only.
Thanks,
Dave

Answer:
Hi Al, Thank you for your question. You will have to remove the adapter from the copper pipe to use the RP48718 tub spout. Delta Faucet model 144910-SS contains a slip on spout. When installing this slip-on tub spout, the tubing should be cut 2 ¾ - 4 ¼” from the finished wall with a tubing cutter. Prior to inserting the tube into the adapter, the end should be chamfered free of burrs (on the outside of the tube) to prevent cutting or nicking of O-ring.
Do not over-tighten set screw.
You could also order a spout that uses the RP12307 tub spout adapter and not change your existing plumbing.
Thanks,
Dave

Answer:
Hi Splash, Thank you for your question. The instructions for installing the R10000 multichoice rough in are not model specific, they cover the various models that are available. The valve can be ordered with the RP47202 thin wall installation kit as in R10000-UNBXT. This kit has the bag with the instructions included. Unless you are mounting the rough in valve directly to the side of the tub/shower unit with no stud/stringer attachment you should not need this kit/step. The RP47202 can be ordered as a separate item.
Thanks,
Dave

Spare Parts

Hi,

I am redoing my bathroom, and have already installed this valve into my wall/plumbing. I tested it out, and it turns out that this bathroom has the hot and cold pipes coming into the unconventional sides of the valve. Therefore, the hot and cold markings on the escutcheon that was provided in this product are opposite from the hot and cold sides in reality. Is there any way to obtain an escutcheon with the proper hot and cold markings?

Thanks
Ryan

Answer:
Hi Ryan, Thank you for your question. There is not an escutcheon with reverse markings. To solve your problem you will want to remove the RP46074 cartridge, rotate the cartridge 180 degrees, and reinstall into the valve rough in. The cartridge has hot side written on it, just make sure the hot side is on the same side as the hot water supply line. Once the cartridge is installed properly the handle will work in the proper direction.
Thanks,
Dave

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 144910 is recommended to be cleaned with a mild bathroom cleaner. Regarding how often you should clean it really depends on the use of the shower. The more often it gets used, we would recommend to clea it more often.
