Lahara Monitor® 14 Series Tub and Shower with In2ition® Two-in-One Shower 2.8 5 5 5
>>>CHEAPLY MADE PLASTIC<<< I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ALL CONSUMERS TO RUN AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT!! > Cheaply made plastic shower head > Shower head does not securely stays on holder. > One drop on your tile floor and plastic head will crack and always leak > Just hand tightening the shower head to the neck spout can crack the cheaply made plastic nut. > Chrome like color peels off plastic easily. > Very difficult to adjust the water temperature and pressure. > For nearly $300 it is NOT a good buy August 8, 2012
Some Problems The set screw for the handle was not threaded properly and stripped out in the head when I tried to tighten it. The water pressure is too high and there does not appear to be any way to correct that and no help in any of the instructions. The first part was placed on order by customer support immediately when I called and will be here in about a week. I have not been able to ask about the pressure issue yet. This is an upgrade to a shower fauct that worked fine before vis a vis pressure. Probably should have had a better plumber as I had to make the adjustments re temperature. March 30, 2013
Excellent for the money! Installed about a year ago. This is a very nice set. Spout is not sharp and relatively safer for children than any other I know. Plumbers told me the valves are of excellent quality and will last. Shower head is good, too - "sunflower" like size - quite large and central part is removable (so far it sits well in the center when inserted so no complaints here). Water flows very nicely. The only small thing is that the valve handle "rattles" just a little bit (1/8 inch left/right) when moving, but this is acceptable - just hope it won't get worse (but it did not over a year) and it is well tighten. This is a very good choice for less than $200 at Home Depot, compared to some exorbitantly expensive and not much different sets at local plumber stores. June 13, 2012
Handheld feaure The showerhead was just installed and no water comes out of the the handheld portion at all. I can't find anything online or in the manual to tell me how to fix it. May 6, 2013
no water Almost no water comes out of the hand held part of the shower no matter what setting I use. The fixed portion works fine. Can this be fixed? April 15, 2013

vacuum breaker

We have been told by a city inspector that we must prove that this shower head has a vacuum breaker. Does it? And if so, where do we find this information to give to the inspector. If it doesn't have one already included, do you sell the part needed, what is the part number and cost, and where can it be purchased.

Thank you

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 144938-I does not contain a vacuum breaker, but it does contain two check valves to prevent backflow into the handheld shower. You should be able to purchase a vacuum breaker from your local retailer or wholesaler. We do not manufacture that part.

How is the water saver removed from the handheld unit?

I would like to increase the water pressure from the handheld unit by removing the buit in water saver. It appears to have 2 parts, one green and one pink. The green piece is easily removed with a pair of pliers. How is the pink piece removed?

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 144939-SS-I has a showerhead with a flow rate of 2.5 gpm at 80 psi. That is the largest flow rate allowed per legislation. We do not recommend removing anything to increase the flow rate and it does void the warranty if peices are removed.

Water leaks from faucet even though handle is all the way in the off position. Is there an adjustment?

Probably a basic question, but I have two sets of directions (one for the rough-in, one for the lahara faucet itself) and neither are helpful.

Is it normal for the tub spout to leak when the shower is on?

There is a steady stream of water that comes out the spout when the shower head is on. It seems like it may be a defect in the spout. Is there a fix for this?

Answer:
Thank you for your question. The In2ition Two-in-One shower has a small lever knob on the back right side (if you are facing it). Delta's technology has created this two showers in one; hand shower only, showerhead only, or both! The toggle in the back can be adjusted based on your needs. And with the hand shower, a simple click will adjust the flow between the different settings.

Model # 144938-SS-I cleaning

Is about 3 yrs old. Has what looks like discoloration on the stainless parts of the shower head that I can not remove. Even tried CLR. It looks like water spots, but not removable. I have software and none of our other faucets have this issue. NOTE it is only the shower head and attached hose connections, the control is just fine. This suggest poor quailty materials. The included images show the color and spotting issue.

Regards.

Handle does not move past 90 degrees

We just purchased the 144938-SS-I and had it installed. The handle does not go past 90 degrees and we do not have enough hot water. We read somewhere that the handle should go 120 degrees. Any suggestions what might be happening? Thanks.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 144938-SS-I does have a handle that rotates 90 degrees. It may be that your rotational limit stop is set too low for your comfort. Included here are the instructions for adjusting your rotational limit stop. They are on page 8 of the instructions.

Complaints that the handheld showerhead does not securely lock into its holding space

I have read numerous reviews online about your In2iution shower heads. A common complaint is that the handheld part does not securely stay in its place in the shower head. Users have complained that if one bumps the hose or anything else the handheld device will fall. This security risk seriously concerns me, especially in a shower where I bathe my infant, where children bathe.

Could you please explain how the handheld device is secured in the shower head to prevent it from falling and hurting someone? Please be specific in your descriptions of this locking and safety feature on your different In2ition models (e.g. 58469 and other models).

Which In2ition shower head model does this set include?

For example, is it model 58469 or another In2ition model? If it is another model, then how does it differ from the 58469?

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 144938-I and 58469 are basically the same handshower except that ball joint in the 58469 is metallic and the 144938-I has a non-metallic ball joint.

I have had this showerhead,144938-I, 1 year, one of the plastic pieces broke

that hold the handheld piece in place. Is there a replacement plastic piece available. Or do I need to replace the whole showerhead? It did not look like it was in the PDF.
