Rated 4 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Very low water pressure You do not want this unit if yall like water pressure; Nicely designed unit but with low pressure, says its 2.0 GPM but unable to git that much in a minute. Contacted delta to see if they offer a diferent cartidge fer this model to git more pressure from shower head. The water pressure is so low comin out that the water looks like like a sprinkler you use in your garden. It does have three setings but the main setin se use is the one with all holes shootin out. But it is a very well designed unit and great apperance. October 16, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by No pressure and quite loud Sadly now that the unit is installed I'm less than satisfied with the pressure output of the unit. The pressure is far less than the 80's generation tap set I replaced. Also the water creates much more noise than the old unit. With the unit set for max pressure there's not enough heat and if turning the control slightly left of 90* you get plenty of heat but no pressure. If Delta has a retrofit control unit to remove the heat protection function I trust this would a be the unit I was hoping to get. April 25, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very attractive faucet set Looks good, easy to install. Build quality is better than other brands I looked at. July 18, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy to install. Easy to install. Sweat your copper fittings in small sections and then thread them onto the faucet section. Make final sweat joints after threaded to keep heat low. The directions are easy to understand. December 26, 2015

Answer:
Hi Alexx8, Thank you for your question! Here is our cleaning and care information:
Always blot dry any water from faucet surface. Allowing water to evaporate on the surface can lead to build up of mineral deposits. Cleaning with a damp non-abrasive sponge and buffing it dry with a clean soft cloth should help keep your product looking beautiful. To remove water spots, use warm water and a soft, damp cloth. Hard water stains may be removed using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Make certain that you rinse thoroughly with water afterward.

If additional cleaning is required, all of our finishes may be cleaned with the following household cleaners: Formula 409® Antibacterial All Purpose Cleaner, Fantastik® All Purpose Cleaner, or Windex® Original Glass Cleaner, when used according to the manufacturers' instructions for use.

Avoid using the following which can damage your finish:

Avoid industrial cleaners and abrasive cleaners, such as those used for toilet bowls, green Scotch-Brite heavy duty scrub sponges, Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner and Lysol Basin Tub, Soft Scrub, and Tile Cleaner.
Avoid products that state on the label that they remove tarnish and rust, and those containing hydrofluoric, hydrochloric and/or phosphoric acids and caustic agents.
Avoid harsh abrasives or polishes
Avoid bleach-based cleaners

Which R10000 rough-in valve was included in this kit?

I see the rough-in valve that comes with this unit is MultiChoice R10000. Is it R10000-UNBX, -UNBXHF, -UNWS, MFWS, etc.? What are the differences between these? Thank you!

Answer:
Hi Jill, Thank you for your question. The model 144984-BN comes with the R10000-UNBX tub and shower rough. The R10000-UNBXHF is the High Flow rough for showers only, UNWS comes With Stops so that the water to the faucet can be shut off at the valve, MFWS is for the cold expansion pex tubing with stops. The choices of the R10000's comes down to tub/shower vs shower only(HF), with (WS) or with out integral stops, and what type of material/pipe connection (IP, PX, MF) that you are using.

Answer:
Hi Zen, Thank you for your question!
The 144984-BN does include the valve body for new construction installation. However, the trim can fit an existing 1300/1400 series ( old 1300/1400 cartridge has to be used with new trim).

Hi JFish,

Thank you for your question. At this time, we no longer make a trip-lever bath waste assembly in Stainless Steel. However, we do have a toe-stopper bath waste, RP693SS.

Answer:
Hi Sage, Thank you for your question. The model 144984-BN is a complete faucet including the rough in valve. The trim is not available to order separately without the tub spout or showerhead. The individual trim pieces are available to be ordered as individual items. Here is a link to the parts breakdown should you choose to order the desired parts.

Answer:
Hi Gene, Thank you for your question. In 1994 we had several different series of faucets that would have "Monitor" on the escutcheon. If your faucet has a single control that only controls the temperature, not the volume of the water and turns counter-clockwise to turn on and clockwise to turn off you can use the model 144984-OB trim with your existing rough in valve. The new faucet will come with a new cartridge. The new cartridge will not fit your existing rough in valve. You will have to continue to use your existing cartridge or order a new RP19804.
If your current faucet offers a single handle that controls water volume, and a smaller knob at the end of the handle that controls water temperature you will have to replace the rough in valve to be able to use the 144984-OB.
Thanks,
Dave

Need to know if 2.0 gpm cartdridge on porter 144984 can be replaced with a delta cartridge with 2.5 gpm or more. Pressure is coming into home is not the issue, we have high pressure on other faucets/sinks in home. Thanks.

Answer:
Hi Mavman70, Thank you for your question. The cartridge in the model 144984 is rated at higher than 2.0 gpm. It is the showerhead itself that is rated at the 2 gallons per minute flow rate. You can switch out the showerhead to one with a greater flow rate. The connection is a standard 1/2" pipe connection.
Thanks,
Dave
