Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 144984-OB-A contains a rotational limit stop that may need adjusting to allow more hot water to flow through the valve. Included here are the instructions to adjust the rotational limit stop. The directions are on page 7.

Apparently I have very good water pressure and the pressure is much too high. I run out of hot water before I ever finish my shower. Is there a replacement that goes with this set that I can change out to control the volume of water coming out of the shower head and spout? the middle piece that controls the on and off I guess is what I would need.

I know I can chnage the shower head but that doesn't sole the issue when I run bathwater.

Thank you for your question. The Celice series is only available for tub/shower combination in the 1400 series. The 1400 series only has temperature control on the handle. If you would like to control the volume too, you will need to switch out your trim for a 1700 series model in another style.

How does the handle correctly install?

I had this installed professionally, and I feel the handle has never been correctly installed. It never feels as though it is solidly seated and all attempts to get it that way fail. After a few uses, it needs to be re-installed, because it comes loose. VERY frustrating, to say the least. The best solution we've found, which is less than ideal, is to take the disc off that enables the scald control. As I said, less than ideal because we have a child. And because it still isn't right, just better. We feel as though the slot for the stem to slide into on the handle is too large, perhaps, on our faucet.

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 144984-OB-A contains the valve assembly in the box for a complete faucet. It is not compatible with a Moen valve and the valve will need to be replaced with a Delta valve to be able to use this faucet.

Hi Leon! Thanks for your question. Porter Monitor® 14 Series Tub & Shower Trim (144984-OB-A) comes with the R10000-UNBX rough, and it will accept the RP46463. However, you will need to order new trim to fit that cartridge.

I have an existing installed Tub & Shower Trim in chrome that has "Monitor" and "1400 Series" printed on it. Will the Monitor 14 Series Tub & Shower Trim work as a replacement? I want to switch from the existing chrome to Oil Rubbed Bronze.

Answer:
Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company.

You need to first make sure your trim plate has the screws at the 1 and 7 o'clock position. If so, then any of our model trims that start with T13 or T14 will work to replace your trim.

Secondly, these new trims come with a cartridge. The cartridge will only fit the Multichoice rough. If your cartridge is not leaking, then do not replace it, it will be fine. If your cartridge is leaking, the new cartridge will replace it only if your cartridge has a gray colored cap (cap can be seen after removing the handle). If the color of your cap is white, then you would need to order RP19804.

faceplate on turnon valve

Customer avatar

Gardnerville, NV, USA
There is one screw on the lower left and the second screw on the upper right of the faceplate. The screws need to match what valve is currently in or the tile has to be ripped out. Can I use this Delta product to replace what I have now which has the two screws on the lower left and lower right under where the water is turned on?

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Based on your description and the placement of your screw holes, this trim will not work for you.

You may have a 600 series if you turn on your water by pushing up and then turning right or left. If this is the case, we do offer a rennovation kit in Chrome, Venetian Bronze, and Stainless Steel. The model number is RP54870.

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model number # 144984-OB-A can be broken up and used in different showers. However, you will need to plug the tub spout in the valve for the 144984-OB-A. You should be able to purchase a plug at your local wholesaler or retailer.

Water comes from shower head whether diverter is turned to shower or tub

After installing the shower valve assembly and the subsequent bath/surround, paying close attention to all the drop specifications listed in the installation manual, we found that water comes from the shower head at all times. It comes out slow at first but eventually builds till it's equal with the water that comes from the diverter spout.

This is not the first time I've run into this problem with the tub/shower faucet that uses the delta multichoice 13/14 cartridge assembly. In the past I have taken the spout/diverter off exposing straight pipe and the problem goes away. I have not tried this as of yet.

How do I resolve this problem?
