Faucet handles

Is there a right way to postion the hot and cold handles? It appears that the cold handle does not turn the exact opposite of the hot handle when turning on or off.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 35713LF is a widespread faucet that has 3 separate peices that make up the faucet. It contains two end valve assemblies and a spout assembly. If the cold is not quite right, then loosen it at the base and turn the whole assembly to where you would like it to be. When it is correct, tighten it down again.

the lift rodm supplies insufficient movement due to interferrence with water supply lines to faucet.

Why are the handles pointing toward the basin when in the off position?

Answer:
the supply lines should not interfere....move the "y" below the arm...also you need to rotate the hot and cold to the proper position by loosening up the anchor nut underneath, then tighten back up when you get them in the proper alignment.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 35713LF has a hose that connects the hot and cold to the spout underneath the deck. It is possible that your horizontal rod is running through that hose and preventing it from working properly. It also could be that the hot and cold end valves have been reversed. This would also explain why the handles are pointing towards the basin when in the off position.
