Reviews

Rated 2.7 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good for the price We decided on this faucet because of the design first, and price second. It was less expensive than other faucets, and because of that, it uses some plastic pieces, which I hope will not be a problem in the future as this faucet has only a one year warranty. As for the design, it was by far the best looking faucet that we looked at. I would have wished it had better internal parts (not plastic), and I would have been willing to pay more for that, but it is what it is. We'll see how long it lasts. The only complaint I have is that the handles don't move as smoothly as I would like. What I mean is that they seem a little stiff, not the silky smooth movement of, say, a Grohe faucet. But I have to keep going back to how it looks. It looks GREAT! One last thing to mention, we didn't install the faucets ourselves, we had a plumber do it, so I don't know how difficult it was to hook them up. September 25, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor Quality We purchased this faucet when remodeling our bathroom and loved the appearance and that it would coordinate with the rest of the bathroom. We have had continuous issues with the finish coming off of the base of the handles and have replaced them through the lifetime warrenty. Now the finish is also coming off the the faucet and we have only had it installed for 3 years. I am not interested in hiring a plumber again to put in a new faucet so we will leave it as is. We are extremely disappointed with this faucet and it will be our last Delta faucet. March 7, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great looking but not install friendly! I purchased three of these and the biggest issue I had with the install is the hard ( basically no flexibility ) PEX supply lines..Not sure why Delta went this route but with the PEX type lines have no flexibility or margin for error if you have to trim. The old style supply lines were stubbed down and threaded so you could just hook up the braided ( flexible ) line was so quicker and simple. Why change a good thing? I recommend this product only on looks and warranty, not easy of installation. January 6, 2016

Answer:
Hi Angie, Thank you for your question!

The 35717-DST is only to be used as a lavatory faucet. I does not put out enough water flow to be used on a roman tub application.

Best regards,
Brandis

Hi Debbie,

Thank you for your question! You can install a grid strainer with this model. If so, you can choose leave the lift rod in place or remove it completely. The part number for the grid strainer in the Venetian Bronze finish is RP47648RB.

Answer:
Hi Scott, Thank you for your question. It sounds as if the handle bases are not locked onto the mounting plate that holds them in place. The mounting plate is a small gray plastic pad with small hooks in the 4 corners that lock into the handle base. Turning the handle base clockwise should snap the handle assembly back into place and resolve your issue.
Thanks,
Dave

Answer:
Hi Bathhouse, Thank you for your question. The first step to changing the valve assembly is to remove the handles. Grasp the base of the handle and unscrew counter clockwise. The handle is attached to a mounting plate and will unscrew about half a turn, at this point lift up on the handle. Once the handle is off, remove the bonnet nut. You will now be able to remove the valve assembly and make your repair. I have attached a link to the owners manual for your model 35717-RB-DST below.
Thanks,
Dave

Answer:
Thank you for your question. The differences between Delta Faucet models 35717-SS-DST and 3551LF-SS are very few. The biggest difference is that the pop up assemby on the Dryden model is metal and the Olmsted model has a plastic pop up assembly. The cartridges are also different. There is also a slight difference in the styles of the faucets.
