Leland Two Handle Widespread Lavatory Faucet 3.8 5 4 4
Neck too Short Faucet was installed with under mount sink and granite top. With the installation completed so that the faucet is on 1/4" away from the lip of the under mount sink the neck of the faucet only protrudes out from the counter edge by approximately 3.5". You cannot comfortably get your hands under the faucet as they hit the back of the sink. Very careless design oversight. We refurbished a condo and used Delta throughout. Had desgin issues with three items that are all dimensional issues. I have used Delta in a new home construction as well but I am extremely disappointed with their products this time. Delta Completes The Remodel The Leland collection is extremely attractive, especially in the finish we selected which was the venetian bronze. Hold one of these faucets in your hand and you can feel the quality. Heavy, well constructed, well made mechanisms and the plumber will praise your choice. The style and quality are the reasons to buy Delta but the product is only as good as the company who backs it up and Delta has been there every step of the way in our remodel. Every question asked has been answered by customer service. Once installed, they perform flawlessly, from the even aerated water flow to the sink drain stopper that actually works with one pull. We've placed delta through out the house and would not change a thing. April 22, 2014
looks great and performs well, so far I have a water softener and sometimes leaves a salt deposit on my faucets so I wanted a faucet that did not have a base and so far, after three months, I'm well pleased with the Leland by Delta. January 21, 2013
Great overall performance, but The new cabinet with undermount sink is too far away from pull-up rod for drain. I need a longer horizontal rod (the one with the ball) so it can reach the pull-up rod. Several local supply houses do not have what I am looking for. Great faucet, but cannot use drain yet. March 4, 2013

Answer:
Hi Judey, Thank you for your question. The (RB) venetian bronze finish is an organic finish. We do not recommend putting Carnauba wax on the faucet components. Pledge can be used on the chrome and brilliance stainless finishes to prevent water spots.
Thanks,
Dave

Answer:
Carnauba like most wax will build-up. Personally I wouldn't use it. However, by accident I did find a product that I beleive is great for what you are needing. When the plumber was installing the faucets he used a lot of plumbers grease to fit the parts and to insure a solid install, this stuff got all over the faucets. Just as was about to figure out how to get the stuff off my plumber told me to just wipe down with a clean cloth and leave a light film of the plumbers grease on the faucet. This stuff is great, it made the color of the bronze pop, it resist water stains and doesn't need to be applied but maybe once a year. I went to the local plumbing supply and bought a small container and use it to seal my faucets and other delta products.

what are the various parts of the Leland 3575-MPU-SDT made of?

I want to know what parts are solid brass, which are pot metal and which are plastic. It would be nice if you had this in your spec sheets. It's an obvious question.

Thanks.

Answer:
Hi Bill, Thank you for your question. The trim parts on the model 3575-MPU-DST that are made of brass are the spout, spout escutcheon, lift rod and handle escutcheon. The spout shank, and handle assemblies are zinc. The cache escutcheon is non-metallic.
Thanks,
Dave

I am looking at the Leland two handle widespread lavatory faucet, 3575-SSMPU-DST. Can you tell me the diameter of the base of the spout? I am trying to figure out how much distance there will be between the edge of the sink and the end of the spout after it is installed. I noticed one person claimed that 3 1/2" was not enough space and Delta replied that they would email him a possible solution. I am also wondering what that solution was.

Answer:
you have to make your own....drill 3 holes 1 1/8"- 1 1/2" six to sixteen inches apart. The countertop installer should have the proper tools to do this for you.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. While we do not recommend drilling the holes for your faucet until you have the faucet, we understand that people do drill the holes ahead of time. Included here is the spec sheet for the 3575-MPU-DST for your information.
