Transitional Slide Bar Hand Shower 4 5 1 1
Sharp and elegant looking Love the adjustable height clamp bar to set the shower heads optimal height. The five settings cover most needs, however the 2.0 gal/min was pretty weak and took my wife a long time to rinse her hair. The solution was easy, just drilled a 3/16th hole in the center of the flow restricter and got the right amount spray pressure. A bit pricey, but well worth it for the design, durable finish, and attractive look. November 27, 2013

I have seen this listed elsewhere as ADA compliant. Is it sturdy enough to be used as a grab bar?

Answer:
Hi Eileen, Thank you for your question. The model 51405-SS slide bar hand shower is not ADA compliant and should not be used as a grab bar. We do offer the ADA compliant model 56302-SS adjustable grab bar assembly that you can add the 59445-SS-PK hand shower to that comes on the 51405-SS.
Thanks,
Dave

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet does have two different styles of drain assemblies in the Champagne Bronze finish. The trip lever is Delta Faucet model # RP691CZ. The toe operated is Delta Faucet model # RP693CZ.

We do not offer a grab bar in the Champagne Bronze finish.

Answer:
Hi mrsfixit,

The main difference between model 51405 and 75529 other than color is the mounting style. The 51405-CZ is a slide bar mounted handshower and the 75529SN is a shower arm mounted handshower.

What is the most secure method to mount this slide bar?

We are doing a complete remodel of our shower using cultured marble for the walls. We have ordered the 51405-SS slide bar unit for this shower and it will arrive in a couple of weeks. We are already planning to install a fully ADA compliant grab bar in our shower, but we would also like to have the option to use this slidebar for a little extra support (as well as for holding the handheld shower.) If we make sure that there is adequate backing behind the cultured marble wall, what would be the best method for us to secure the slidebar to insure adequate anchoring for light use as a second non-ADA compliant grab bar in a cultured marble shower?

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 51405-SS will not attach any differently than your grab bar will but we would recommend talking to your plumber for the final recommendation to get the support you need.
