Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 58065 has a dial on the handshower to vary the settings. They are fast massage, full spray w/massage, full body spray, and pause. The only other way to vary the speed of the water is by adjusting the volume on the valve itself.

Selected the above model at a local plumbing display. They installed it. What we said we wanted was that the "inside" handle could be removed and that then all the water would come out of the handheld head with nothing coming out of the mounted ring portion of the shower head still connected to the pipe at the wall. Doesn't seem to work that way. Water will come out of the hand held but also out of the larger ring it snaps out of. Am I missing some button to push? Our intention was that our visiting daughter could give her small children a shower with the hand held and not get wet at the same time. If we bought the wrong one, do you have another model that would accomplish what we want? Thanks.

Answer:
Hi Steve, you may have already gotten an answer to your question, but just in case you didn't. Simply reach up to the right side of the shower head, there's a little lever kind of switch, pull it towards you to use just handheld, back to activate the entire shower head.
