Delta 7-Setting Hand Shower 3.5 5 6 6
needs an 'unkinked' hose. We love its size, the water flow volume, and various settings. But the hose has a twist that goes in one dircetion when the water is off, and the other direction when the water is on. It never hangs flat aginst the wall, & is the way when taking a shower. Can you send a replacement hose, please. March 11, 2013
Worked great for a short while! Bought from Home Depot and installed less than 30 days ago. It was working great until the hose connection attaching the shower head broke in half at the hand held unit leaving the threaded portion in place. I installed with only hand tightening(no wrenches) and teflon tape. There was no leak and no warning before the break. This hose is made in one piece and no way to repair short of replacing. If this is under warranty I would appreciate a return authorization for a new hose. June 16, 2013
Decent value, but not very durable The threading on either end of the hose is plastic. Within a few months of normal use, cracks appeared and water began leaking. I was used a pipe clamp to hold it together, but the plastic finally broke apart. I hate to throw out the whole assembly, or even the hose, just because of one faulty part. November 29, 2013
very easy to install I hate anything to do with plumbing, but this shower was a breeze. It has a longer flexible pipe to the head so we can was the dog with ease. The adjusment of the head is easy. May 16, 2014
Very Nice Look Coupled With a Great Price Offers some nice features and good water saving performance. Installation was fast and simple and required no tools. I really liked the pause feature too. As noted by others, the hose is rather stiff. Durability is the biggest drawback. The handle's hose connector came apart on one of mine after only a month. In our other bathroom, it continues to work well and look great so I'm hoping I just got a bad one. July 30, 2014
Our old Chrome one was better We use to have your guys chrome one, but it stopped working. We bought the white one and the hose doesn't lay flat and the shower head feels cheap. We really wanted to love this one like we did when we first got the chrome one. February 7, 2014

I have the U6300 ADA adjustable clip that will hold a shower handle on a grab bar. Will this hand shower fit in that clip?
Will I need a different hose?

Answer:
Hi Tom, Thank you for your question. The model 75700 has a flowrate of 2.5 gallons per minute at 80psi which is the maximum allowed under current legislation. We do not recommend removing the flow restrictor as this will void the warranty on the product.
Thanks,
Dave

What is the water flow?

Customer avatar
by
swdc
Washington, DC
The package states:

Maximum water consumption 2.5 gpm @ 80psi
Actual water consumption 1.8 gpm @45 psi

I don't understand what the difference is between the two. Which is it when I run my shower?
I need to know because I want to connect a filter to it.

Thank you.

Answer:
Hi Swdc,

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 75700SN will have different flow rates depending on the pounds per square inch or psi that is coming into the shower valve. When you have a high rate like 80 psi, you are going to get 2.5 gpm or gallons per minute. When you have less water pressure like 45 psi, then you will have less water flow.

Included here are the specs for the model which includes a chart of the water flow based on the psi. Hopefully this will help determine your specific flow rate.

Thanks.

Which end of shower hose is which?

Customer avatar
by

I can't tell which end of the shower hose to attach to the hand shower or the shower arm outlet. The instructions I received with my hand shower do not match the ones on this website. The website installation instructions say that I must attach the ridged nut end of the shower hose to the shower arm mount outlet so the vacuum breaker works. The tapered end of the hose must attach to the hand shower, and there is supposed to be a yellow sticker on the tapered end. The print instructions do not say anything about a vacuum breaker, except to call and ask about it, but mention the tapered end and the ridged nut (but do not show them in the diagrams).

But each end of the hose looks exactly the same-smooth outside with threads on the inside and a black washer in each end. There was no yellow sticker on either end. Neither end is ridged or tapered on the outside. How do I know which end is which? If there is a vacuum breaker in the hose, how I do I know it's working properly if I can't tell which end it's in?

Answer:
Thank you for your question. The M & I that is on the website is incorrect and we are working to get the correct one up there. There is not a vacuum breaker included with this hose so you can attached it with either end. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
