Answer:
Hi Ed,

Thanks for contacting Delta Faucet. With the trim, T60P410, either the R10000-UNBX or the R10000-IP can be used.
The R10000-UNBX can be used with any piping such as copper, iron, pvc or pex. The R10000-IP is specifically for an installation using iron pipe.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17259-SS can be used with any R10000 model. We would recommend the R10000-UNHF to get a higher flow since you are adding a hand shower. You will also need a R11000 rough-in diverter with the T11859-SS diverter trim to use with your handshower.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T14253 is recommended to be paired with the R10000-UNBXHF since you have no tub spout. You will get a higher flow from your faucet as the tub port is plugged.

What current model shower valves are compatible with 1500 series valve body?

I have 1500 series shower/bath combo's and would like to replace with a new Delta product. I prefer not to replace the valve body if possible and would like to know which new products are compatible.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. The 1500 series was discontinued in 1998. The cartridge for the 1700 series comes with an adapter to fit a 1500 series. If the screw holes on the escutcheon are diagonal from each other, there is a conversion kit available to convert the unit to a 1700 series (Delta part #RP29405). In addition to this conversion kit, a trim series T17*** can be installed. This will allow for the valve body to remain behind the wall.
