Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Only one warning I installed this unit just before Christmas. It went in easy and the instructions were detailed. The only warning that I could provide is that after plumbing it, don't turn on the water until you plub the tub and shower outlet. I installed the unit and wanted to turn the water back on before finishing the tiling and installing the actural valve. The pressure testing seal does not stop water from coming out of the tub or shower outlets, and there is no warning about that in the instructions. Otherwise it was a great experience. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product Absolutely love our new shower. Our 10 year old grandaughter says it is like being in a luxurious hotel. We were impressed how quickly we recieved our purchase. The quality is beyond what we expected, and my husband was happy with the ease of installation. Thank you for the high standards you have set for your company. Our money was well spent. Rated 4 out of 5 by Short term test It's a great unit. It fits and looks great! I don't care for the seat all that much-it's a little too thin. It bends when you sit on it-I'm only a 190 pound guy! I really haven't had the chance to use it for a long enough of a time to objectively evaluate this product. July 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Necessary item. Works well so that you don't have temperature changes if someone turns on water somewhere else in the house. This items was a recommended need if you had a new set up to do for your Delta shower faucet. July 25, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Material is not what I expected for the price I bought it couple of months ago, and my contractor has been having a lot problems installing and the material is not exactly strong. February 17, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by great product right price excellent product right price and delivered in no time February 18, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by not as expected I didn't expect the finish material to be plastic. July 13, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good easy to install functioning valve Easy to install valve that exactly fit our needs. April 20, 2011

The 1500 series valve is discontinued and was only included with the complete units. There is no part number for the valve.

Answer:
Hi Ann,

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, the valves are not interchangeable. The R11000 is a 3/6 Setting Diverter Valve for changing between different showering components such as a shower head, hand shower, body sprays, etc. The R10000 is a Tub and Shower Valve is for the main volume an temperature control.

Jon

Does the R10000 Valve work with all Delta and Brizo faucets?

We are remodeling our bathroom and the plumber needs the valve to finish rough plumbing. We have not selected the exact Delta/Brizo shower trim we will have installed. Is the R10000 valve a universal valve that will work with all trim kits? If not, which valve do we have installed that allows us options? We are leaning towards the Brizo T60250 Sotria.

Hi Paul,

Thank you for your question! The T60250 will work with the R10000 rough-in valve. However, this valve will not work with high-flow Brizo showers.

Upgrading Porter 142984-BN-A to a Ara Modern Monitor 14 series

We have the shower only Porter (142984-bn-a) with the rough-in installed this year. Do I need a new cartridge for the Delta Ara Modern Monitor 14 Series Stainless Steel Finish Square Single Handle Pressure Balanced Shower Faucet Control or they interchangeable?
Are the rough-ins compatible and are the cartridges too?

Hi gClueless,

Thank you for your question! The valve will be an R10000 Universal MultiChoice rough-in, which is interchangeable, and will allow you to install any of our current trim kits such as the Ara 14 Series.

Thanks,
Jon

Upgrading1400 Series Shower Faucet from 1996

I have a 1400 series shower faucet that I would like to upgrade without replacing the rough-in valve. The rough-in valve was installed in 1996. Is there a shower trim I can upgrade to without replacing the rough-in valve? Would it be possible to convert the rough-in valve or valve cartridge to give me more upgrade trim options without major plumbing? Lastly, I have the Delta Temp2o shower faucet, to upgrade to this new faucet trim would I have to replace the rough-in valve?

Answer:
Hi Ray,

Thank you for your question! You can use current 14 series trim kit (T14_) with the existing rough-in valve. However, you will need to use the existing cartridge as well, or a new RP19804, rather than the cartridge that comes with the trim kit. Unfortunately, Temp2O require you to use a cartridge that will not fit in the existing rough-in valve.

Thanks,
Jon

Answer:
Hi LL,

Thank you for your question! To change to another series of shower, you will need an R10000 MultiChoice rough-in valve. If you currently have an R10000 valve installed, you can replace your current trim with a 17 or 17T series shower trim, which has separate controls for temperature and volume.

Thanks,
Jon

R10000-UNWS versus R10000-IPWS For Tub Only

I need a R10000 unit for a tub only installation. All models seem to be made for a tub / shower combo.

1. Does a cap or plug come with the R10000 so that I can close off the outlet for the shower?

2. What's the difference between these R10000-UNWS and R10000-IPWS? They are priced the same.

Answer:
Hi Denny, Thank you for your question. You are correct that none of the R10000 roughs are made specifically for a tub only installation. The R10000-UNWS has 1/2" male pipe thread connections that can also accept 1/2" copper. The R10000-IPWS has 1/2" female pipe connections. The roughs do not have caps or plugs included.

I have a Brizo MultiChoice R60000. Is that different than the Delta MultiChoice R10000?

I would like to purchase the Delta Innovations Tub and Shower trim kit T17430-SSSOS, but do not want to change the rough in valve (as I have no access panel to get behind the wall). Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Brian, Thank you for your question. The Brizo R60000 is comparable to the Delta R10000 rough in. The T17430-SS-SOS Delta trim will work with the Brizo R60000 rough.

Answer:
Hi jL, Thank you for your question. If you have a 1700 series faucet which would have been manufactured prior to February 2006 the cartridge and rough in valve are not universal. The rough in only uses the RP32104 cartridge. You can put a new 17 series pressure balanced trim onto your existing rough in valve, but you must continue to use the RP32104 cartridge. The cartridge that ships with the new trim will not fit.
Thanks,
Dave
