Delta 3/6 Setting Diverter Rough 4.4 5 9 9
Good luck If you install this valve the way the rough in tells you too, you will be very disappointed. Our valve trimmed out perfect and this transfer valve was to far back in the wall. And of course they don't make an extension for this. We had to cut open a tile wall on the other side of the valve to offset this valve above the shower valve causing us to look bad. Also install the cartridge at rough, good luck trying to remove the bonnet nut when it is an 1/8 inch behind the finished wall. January 17, 2013
Love the diverter We recently remodeled the master bath and opted for a handheld shower and rain can in our walk-in shower. The diverter allows us to use either or both. Highly recommend a diverter when remodeling a bath with shower. May 3, 2013
Smooth Valve We coupled this with the Delta T11800 chrome trim package and the valve delivers good pressure and finger tip selection between our Delta 57014 Hand Shower Package and Delta T17230-H2O Classic Shower Trim Package with H2Okinetic, Independent Volume Control and Monitor Technologies. Was even surprised at the pressure delivered in the mix position supplying water to both shower heads. April 1, 2013
Great service. Way better than expected even I ordered few faucets for a remodel. Delivered quicker than expected. Had problem with one of them and still can't believe how quickly they took care of it. Thought I would wind up in internet no mans land. They emailed me back with 20 minutes and the replacement part was in the mail to me the same day. Received it two days later. September 14, 2014
Good valve Great Find. If you are looking for diverter valve this is the one you need. This thing is well priced and really solves your diverted issue. This one comes with a plug to cover one port. January 1, 2011
excellent choice This product comes in 3 or 6 way diverter types. We chose the 6 way. it works great. very smooth operation. precision machined piece where everything fit together snugly. April 19, 2011
Excellent Product Purchased as part of a shower remodel. All other components were Moen, but Moen did not have needed 6way diverter. This Delta product was recommended and works great.... May 8, 2011
I use this for all my rough ins. Its the best one out there and easy to install August 25, 2014

What exactly will I need

Removing a tub and building a customized shower. Thus far I will be using 2) 52688 shower heads, 2) T18017-SSXO body jets (with rough-ins) and 1) 5433-PN-PK.

I assume I need the R11000 diverter to switch between the shower heads and the hand held. But unsure as to what I need to use to supply the diverter. But what faucet rough-in would I use to supply the diverter,

Answer:
Hi Willie, Thank you for your question. The water demand of the 2 showerheads at 2.0 gpm each, 2 sets of body sprays at 2.5 gpm each, and a hand shower at 2.0 cannot be supplied with a single valve. You will not need an R11000 diverter rough as the T18017-SSXO body sprays have a built in diverter. I would recommend installing 2 R10000-UNBXHF roughs, and 2 valve only trims of your choice to supply the water to the listed accessories. You would plumb the T18017-SSXO with rough ins from the shower port on the R10000's and then plumb a 52688 shower head from each jetted diverter trim. You would finally plumb the 55433 hand shower from one of the jetted diverter trims and cap off the extra port on the other. You would need to order 2 extra shower arms and shower arm flanges for the fixed showerheads.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi,

I am roughing in a shower with 3/4 inch supply lines, and need to run a main shower head/wand combo, and a rain shower head. I want the ability to run them separately or together. I know I probably need a 3/4 mixing valve to match my lines, and be able to have enough water available, but beyond that not sure what else I need? As far as the mixing valve, I want to be able to set the temperature once, and just turn on water volume everytime (don't want to have to adjust for temperature everyday). Please let me know what products I need to purchase to accomplish this.

Thanks

Answer:
Hi Rainmaker, Thank you for your question. Delta only offers tub/shower valves and diverter valves in 1/2" size. To run multiple devices you would need a R10000-UNBXHF rough, a Tempassure 17T series tub/shower trim of your choice, a R11000 diverter rough, and a matching 3 setting 2 port diverter trim.
If you need a 3/4" valve you can look at the Brizo Sensori line. This high flow system offers a tub/shower valve and individual volume controls for each device.

Answer:
Hi GRB, Thank you for your question. The R11000 diverter rough will be used with either our 3-Setting 2-Port diverter trim or the 6-Setting 3-Port diverter trim. The 3 setting trim models will begin with T118 and are used with 2 devices like a fixed showerhead and a hand shower. The 6 setting trim models begin with T119 and work with 3 devices like a fixed shower head, body sprays, and a slidebar hand shower.
The diverter trims are offered in most of our faucet collections to match the tub/shower valve trim.

Dave

Multiple diverters

I have to plumb a system that has a regular shower head, rain shower head, hand held shower and jets. Customer talked to a delta rep and they gave him one volume and temp valve, and two; three port, six function diverters.
Should I...
1.) cap the tub end on temp/volume control and come out of top outlet to first diverter and put the regular shower head and jets off that diverter and come out the third port to the secondary diverter and tie the rain head and hand shower off of that?
2.) cap the tub end of the temp/volume control and tee off to each diverter individually and cap the indicated outlets? So then both diverters would have a dead spot on the handle rotation.
3.) tie one diverter off the shower outlet of the temp/volume control and cap the indicated outlet, and come of the tub outlet for the other diverter. Which would then again mean that there would be dead spots on the handle rotation.

Answer:
Hi Matt, Thank you for your question. We would not recommend hooking up 2 diverters to a single volume/temperature valve as the valve does not produce the flow rate needed to run that many features. An additional volume/temperature valve would be needed. You could then plumb 3 features to a single 3 port 6 setting diverter and 1 directly to the valve with no diverter or use 2 two port 3 setting diverters.
Thanks,
Dave

3/6 Diverter Installation and Station Settings

Customer avatar

Poppa T

I am installing the 10000 and 11000 diverter for a shower head, rain head, and hand shower. If i understand correctly the left port of the diverter should be the primary function (shower head). The top port should be the secondary function (rain head), and the right port would be the hand shower.

With this configuration the stations/operation of the 3/6 diverter will be as follows:
Station #1 shower head only
Station #2 rain head only
Station #3 Shower head + rain head only
Station #4 hand shower only

Please confirm that if I am on the same planet.

Hi Poppa T, Thank you for your question. As you face the R11000 rough outlet 1 would be at the 12 o-clock position, outlet 2 at the 9 o-clock position, and outlet 3 at the 3 o-clock position. Page 5 of the attached manual will show you which functions will work with each location on the diverter trim.

Answer:
Hi Chuck, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately we do not offer a diverter trim in the Windemere. The T11894 or T11994 diverter trims in the Linden collection would be the closest match to the Windemere.
