Delta 3/6 Setting Diverter Rough 2.5 5 2 2
Good luck If you install this valve the way the rough in tells you too, you will be very disappointed. Our valve trimmed out perfect and this transfer valve was to far back in the wall. And of course they don't make an extension for this. We had to cut open a tile wall on the other side of the valve to offset this valve above the shower valve causing us to look bad. Also install the cartridge at rough, good luck trying to remove the bonnet nut when it is an 1/8 inch behind the finished wall. January 17, 2013
Love the diverter We recently remodeled the master bath and opted for a handheld shower and rain can in our walk-in shower. The diverter allows us to use either or both. Highly recommend a diverter when remodeling a bath with shower. May 3, 2013

Ability to control two items at once

I am in the process of remodeling my master bath and so far have purchased the below products from Delta. I have attached two photos showing the current plumbing as it is now. I read on one of the other posts that the trim is actually what controls the ability to run the 3 things separately and then the ability to run three different combos of two at the same time. When I saw the diverter installed I only saw one line running to each of the shower devices so wanted to make sure I would be able to run combinations of two devices the way it is plumbed now. Thank you.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Based on the pictures you sent in, it looks like everything is correct. The only thing we might question is that the body jets are not plumbed on both sides of the jets. We suggest testing the setup before you finish the wall to see if you get enough pressure from your jets.

Thank you for your questions. Included here is the spec sheet for Delta Faucet model # R11000. While we do not recommend that you cut your holes until you have the product in hand, we understand that sometimes it is necessary. The spec sheet should help.

replace functions

Hi

I currently have a delta shower, rainhead, and 3 body sprays installed with 17T/18T series trim. This set up allows for a total of three functions.

What will take to replace the current diverter by a 6-way so the rain head and handheld can have their own functions?
• Replace the diverter and trim?
• Remove a few tiles so I have access to replace the existing diverter?
• Anything else to consider?

The existing set up was installed sometime in 2010

I am obviously not very experienced with delta yet and would appreciate any help.

Thanks

Thank you for your question. It actually is a pretty easy fix to upgrade from the 3-setting diverter to a 6-setting diverter. The only thing you will need to replace is the diverter trim. The valve is the same valve.

3/6 rough diverter with 2 shower heads and tub spout

I was told to purchase the 3/6 rough diverter plus universal rough valve to use in my tub/shower with a fixed shower head, a hand held and the tub spout. When I went to purchase the trim kits I was told by the plumbing house that I have installed the wrong diverter - that it will not do what I want and may be troublesome. Can you advise? I wanted to be able to use any two of these together or alone: shower A, shower B, Tub, Shower A & Shower B, Shower A & Tub, Shower B & Tub. Will this be possible with the set-up I now have? Will this cause any problems? I have not yet purchased the tub spout. Can I use a standard spout with diverter just ignore the diverter or do I need the spout without the diverter? Would I be better off replacing the diverter value with a 3 setting diverter? Thanks

Answer:
Thank you for your question. You will need to purchase a tub spout with a diverter on it to make this system work. Then when you divert the water from the tub spout, you will move up to the Delta Faucet R11000 with the appropriate trim to divert to either of the two showerheads or both at the same time.

I want to be able to use the tub AND hand-held at the same time, not to shut off the tub entirely. Sometimes i would want to use the tub only but not always. Sometimes I want to use both showers at the same time, but not always. I am trying to work it out so I can use any 2 water sources at the same time. How do I do this? Thanks.

What is the typical distance between R11000 and R10000?

Customer avatar
by
Elk
Loveland, CO, USA
The R11000 will be installed above the R10000. If they are too close, the trim may not fit or will be touching. If they are too far apart, they will not look proportional.

Thank you for your question. There is not a typical distance to install the R11000 from the R10000-UNBX. It is a personal preference to the consumer.

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # R11000 is a diverter rough-in valve. It is not capable of turning the water on and off. You will need a R10000 series rough with matching trim to be able to turn your valve on and off.

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # R11000 can be used with our 6-setting 3-port diverter trim and all three of your features. Make sure you loop the body sprays to one port. You will be able to use each feature individually or two of the features at one time.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. If you want to run your tub spout from Delta Faucet model # R11000, make sure you get a non-diverter tub spout and get a 6-setting 3-port diverter trim to match. If you want to run the tub from the tub spout, then get a tub spout with a diverter and purchase a 3-setting 2-port diverter trim. It is the consumer's preference.
