Delta 3/6 Setting Diverter Rough 4.4 5 9 9
Good luck If you install this valve the way the rough in tells you too, you will be very disappointed. Our valve trimmed out perfect and this transfer valve was to far back in the wall. And of course they don't make an extension for this. We had to cut open a tile wall on the other side of the valve to offset this valve above the shower valve causing us to look bad. Also install the cartridge at rough, good luck trying to remove the bonnet nut when it is an 1/8 inch behind the finished wall. January 17, 2013
Love the diverter We recently remodeled the master bath and opted for a handheld shower and rain can in our walk-in shower. The diverter allows us to use either or both. Highly recommend a diverter when remodeling a bath with shower. May 3, 2013
Smooth Valve We coupled this with the Delta T11800 chrome trim package and the valve delivers good pressure and finger tip selection between our Delta 57014 Hand Shower Package and Delta T17230-H2O Classic Shower Trim Package with H2Okinetic, Independent Volume Control and Monitor Technologies. Was even surprised at the pressure delivered in the mix position supplying water to both shower heads. April 1, 2013
Great service. Way better than expected even I ordered few faucets for a remodel. Delivered quicker than expected. Had problem with one of them and still can't believe how quickly they took care of it. Thought I would wind up in internet no mans land. They emailed me back with 20 minutes and the replacement part was in the mail to me the same day. Received it two days later. September 14, 2014
Good valve Great Find. If you are looking for diverter valve this is the one you need. This thing is well priced and really solves your diverted issue. This one comes with a plug to cover one port. January 1, 2011
excellent choice This product comes in 3 or 6 way diverter types. We chose the 6 way. it works great. very smooth operation. precision machined piece where everything fit together snugly. April 19, 2011
Excellent Product Purchased as part of a shower remodel. All other components were Moen, but Moen did not have needed 6way diverter. This Delta product was recommended and works great.... May 8, 2011
I use this for all my rough ins. Its the best one out there and easy to install August 25, 2014

Is R11000 legal in California?

Customer avatar

Building code in Southern California now allows only one showerhead to be on at a time. Can R11000 be used? What other diverter valves do you offer that are ok in California? I plan to have only 2 showerheads.
Thank you very much,

Answer:
Hi Prohor,

Thank you for your question! You can use the R11000 rough-in valve with a non-shared cartridge to eliminate the shared setting. The 2-Function Non-Shared Diverter Cartridge is RP71717, which can be used with a 3-setting diverter trim.

using R11000 with R10000

I am watching my plumber install, and I don't think he's doing it right. Using pex, he plumbed the 12oclock port directly to the rainhead. Shouldn't the diverter be in between the 2? There is also a handheld and 2 body sprays. How should these be plumbed and do you need to loop the sprays with the pex? Can you use pex for all of it? Lastly, will this valve supply enough water to the 9" rainhead?

Answer:
Hi riobella,

Thank you for your questions! The top port of the R10000 valve should be plumbed into the bottom port of the R11000. From there, you can use any of the remaining 3 ports of the R11000 for your shower head, handheld, or body sprays. A set of two body sprays will not require a pressure balancing loop. PEX tubing can be used for any of the plumbing, except to a tub spout (if applicable).

The amount of water flow you will get from the valves will depend on the pressure in the home as well as the trim kit you choose for the R10000 valve. However, with 60 or more PSI, there should be be enough flow to run a 2.5 GPM raincan shower head as well as shared diverter functions.

Thanks,
Jon

How to plumb the R11000 rough in with a rain shower head, handheld and tub fill

I have the T14486-SHQ and I'm also installing the 55530 wall mount handshower. I purchased the R11000 diverter. Can you explain the correct way to install in order to allow me to switch between the overhead shower, handheld and tub fill? Thanks

Answer:
Hi Ki@m, Thank you for your question. The tub spout that comes with the model T14486-SHQ is a diverter tub spout. Using that tub spout you would cap the right side or 3 o-clock port on the R11000 diverter rough and plumb the rain shower head out of the 12 o-clock port and the hand shower from the 9 o-clock port. The shower port from the R10000 faucet rough would be plumbed to the 6 o-clock port on the R11000 diverter rough. The T11886 diverter trim will allow you to operate each showerhead individually or both at the same time.

DIY Brian

Hi,
I've replace our bathtub with a shower only and I would like to install a main shower head/wand combo (584-70-SS, In2ition) and a rain shower head (T17253-SS kit). I want the ability to run them separately or together. I already purchase the T17253-SS the 584-70-SS which came with no trim) and a R10000-UNBX rough in valve, I am not sure what else I need? Please let me know what other products I need to purchase and also a little guidance as to the plumbing from valve to both shower heads.
Thanks

Answer:
Hi DIY Brian, Thank you for your question. You will want to order the R11000 diverter rough and the T11853-SS diverter trim along with a RP6023SS shower arm and RP51034SS flange for the 58470-SS to complete your faucet. You will plumb the diverter rough from the shower port on the R10000 after capping off the tub spout port. You will then cap off the 3 o-clock port on the R11000 diverter rough and plumb the showerheads out of the remaining 9 and 12 o-clock ports. The 3 setting diverter will allow you to operate each showerhead individually or both at the same time.

Answer:
Hi Tim, Thank you for your question. The T11892 is a 3 setting 2 port diverter trim that is only made to operate 2 features, not the 3 that you have plumbed to the diverter valve. You can order the RP51919 6 function diverter cartridge and switch it with the existing cartridge to have all of the features, showerhead, tub spout, and hand shower work properly.

Dave

Will my R10000-UNBX Work?

I am plumbing a shower with four body sprays. The rough in recommended for my shower head was the R10000-UNBX. From what I understand I can use this rough in (with the 6 oclock capped) then run the 12 o clock port to a R11000 3/6 diverter rough and then to my body sprays and showerhead. Is this correct?
Thanks

Answer:
Hi Greg, Thank you for your question. Your description is correct you can cap off the tub spout port on the R10000-UNBX and then plumb to the R11000 diverter rough from the 12 o-clock/shower port.
Another option is to use the R10000-UNBXHF high flow rough that does not have the 6 o-clock port at all and increases the flow rate to the shower port over the R10000-UNBX.
Thanks,
Dave

Right side outlet

Customer avatar

Jim the mover

You mention that the primary outlet is at the 12 o'clock position and secondary at 9 o'clock. I want to plug the 9 and use the 3 o'clock for my hand shower because that's the easiest side to plumb it in. Will the valve work this way?

Hi Jim, Thank you for your question. If you are plumbing the R11000 to be used with 2 devices and using a 3 setting diverter trim you will have to cap the 3 o'clock port. The unit will not function properly if you cap off the 9 o'clock port.

What exactly will I need

Customer avatar

Coon Valley, WI
Removing a tub and building a customized shower. Thus far I will be using 2) 52688 shower heads, 2) T18017-SSXO body jets (with rough-ins) and 1) 5433-PN-PK.

I assume I need the R11000 diverter to switch between the shower heads and the hand held. But unsure as to what I need to use to supply the diverter. But what faucet rough-in would I use to supply the diverter,

Answer:
Hi Willie, Thank you for your question. The water demand of the 2 showerheads at 2.0 gpm each, 2 sets of body sprays at 2.5 gpm each, and a hand shower at 2.0 cannot be supplied with a single valve. You will not need an R11000 diverter rough as the T18017-SSXO body sprays have a built in diverter. I would recommend installing 2 R10000-UNBXHF roughs, and 2 valve only trims of your choice to supply the water to the listed accessories. You would plumb the T18017-SSXO with rough ins from the shower port on the R10000's and then plumb a 52688 shower head from each jetted diverter trim. You would finally plumb the 55433 hand shower from one of the jetted diverter trims and cap off the extra port on the other. You would need to order 2 extra shower arms and shower arm flanges for the fixed showerheads.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi,

I am roughing in a shower with 3/4 inch supply lines, and need to run a main shower head/wand combo, and a rain shower head. I want the ability to run them separately or together. I know I probably need a 3/4 mixing valve to match my lines, and be able to have enough water available, but beyond that not sure what else I need? As far as the mixing valve, I want to be able to set the temperature once, and just turn on water volume everytime (don't want to have to adjust for temperature everyday). Please let me know what products I need to purchase to accomplish this.

Thanks

Answer:
Hi Rainmaker, Thank you for your question. Delta only offers tub/shower valves and diverter valves in 1/2" size. To run multiple devices you would need a R10000-UNBXHF rough, a Tempassure 17T series tub/shower trim of your choice, a R11000 diverter rough, and a matching 3 setting 2 port diverter trim.
If you need a 3/4" valve you can look at the Brizo Sensori line. This high flow system offers a tub/shower valve and individual volume controls for each device.
