Answer:
Thank you for you question. Delta Faucet model # RP34355CB is a replacement showerhead for an existing showerhead. It does not have a cartridge associated with it. You will need a valving system and trim to go with this showerhead. We recommend the R10000-UNBX rough-in valve and then whatever series you choose.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. I apologize that you are having issues with your showerhead. However, we do not recommend taking apart your showerhead.

We do recommend soaking a cloth in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and cold water and applying it to the showerhead to loosen the mineral deposits. You may want to soak it overnight.

Can you erepair a showerhead that leaks when in use

I have a RP34355RB Venetian bronze shower head that leaks out the seam on the outside while I shower. Is there a way to fix this? What is the life of this product? My house is 8 years old and i have had to replace leaking valves in two showers and one kitchen sink. I am very disappointed with the performance of the delta faucets and since I'm not the original owner your warranty is worthless.

Answer:
Normally it would be covered under warranty. Unfortunately you are right about being the original owner. I do not believe there is a way to fix what you describe. There is a product called Teflon tape that you may be able to wrap around and into the seam (if I understand where your leak is) that would keep the water in.

Answer:
I have experienced this exact problem in the past. I found a solution.

Remove the shower head using an adjustable wrench. Remove the plastic filter. Place shower head face down in a shallow bowl large enough to allow for the head to rest face down on the bottom.

Carefully pour vinegar through the head allowing it to collect and submerge the fact of the head completely. The idea here is that the vinegar will loosen any calcium build up in the head and on the face of the head (similar to cleaning a coffee maker). Allow the head to sit in the vinegar and soak.

Soak the plastic filter as well. Carefully brush both the face of the head and the filter with a dish brush or old tooth brush to remove any debris or calcium. This should open up all the holes and allow for water to pass through as intended.

Reinstall the head - using teflon tape on the threads.

I did this and the head returned to normal functioning. It has been about two years and the problem returned. I am cleaning the head again today.

I hope it works for you too.
