I remodeled my master bath in February 2011. The diverter on the spout lasted 3 1/2 years before it broke. The replacement diverter just broke. I will be ordering my 3rd spout in 5 years! Delta- what's going on? Cheap internal plastic parts, I suspect.

We installed a new tub & shower in January, 2014, in our winter condo. We used the shower for three months then and for about three months in 2015.
The diverter never worked well; there was almost always less pressure at the shower head than in the tub. In fact, we began to jiggle the diverter to get more pressure to the shower.
The diverter fell apart and proved impossible to fix after a couple of days attempting and going to our very helpful local hardware store for assistance.
The saving grace is that Delta quickly offered to send a new spout/diverter assembly under the warranty. No questions asked.
The problem is that it took almost a week for the replacement part to even ship.
We hope the replacement will last for more than 6 months of use.

The finish on this spout looks nice. My wife and I bought our house about 18 months ago with this hardware installed in the newly remodeled guest bath.
We never used that tub or shower until our child was born 6 weeks ago. The spout continuously leaks water when the diverter is pulled up as far as it can go. Also, there is minimal to no water pressure from the shower head.
It looks nice, but the functionality and workmanship is poor. As I am not the original owner, I have no warranty information.

We recently purchased a home and all of the faucets are very nice. About three months later, my son stepped into his tub and turned on the water to take a shower and the entire spout shot off the wall. The plastic inside had broken. Because we aren't the original home owners, the warranty does not apply!
The faucet itself is fine, it's just the pvc pipe fitting that screws in to the faucet that broke. I called Delta and they don't sell just that part. You have to purchase the entire faucet for $90 to fix a $1.00 piece.

During a 2013 bathroom remodel, I had the T17478 tub/shower assembly professionally installed in the tub. The dual function flow control-temp control valve has worked flawlessly but recently the pull up diverter spout started leaking water when in the pulled up position. It leaks so badly that the water flow control has to be turned on all the way to keep the diverter in the shower position. This wastes water, not to mention the energy to heat the water.

Rated 3 out of 5 by ASTRONAUGHT555 pull-up diverter doesn't work right when pulled up
WHEN THE PULL-UP DIVERTER IS PULLED UP FOR REDIRECTING WATER TO SHOWER HEAD, THERE IS STILL TOO MUCH WATER BYPASSING THE PULL-UP DIVERTER GATE VALVE FLOWING BACH DOWN THROUGH THE TUB SPOUT, WHEN THE PULL-UP DIVERTER IS PULLED UP, IT SHOULD SEAL ALL THE WATER GOING THROUGH THE TUB SPOUT AND IT DOESN'T DO THE JOB IT IS SUPPOSE TO DO, THERE IS ALWAYS A STREAK OF WATER GOING DOWN THE SPOUT WHEN THE PULL-UP DIVERTER IS UP.

I love the look of the product, but not happy with having to replace the tub spout after a little over a year. I have been having trouble with the pull-up diverter for quite a while. Not working correctly. Yesterday the whole unit fell apart. Now I have to replace the entire tub spout and hope the new unit will not fail, I will order it later today.

Similar problem to the previous reviewer, the pull up diverter is no longer allowing full pressure to the shower head. I would have expected a Delta product to last longer than it did.
