Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T13420-PBSHCPD contains a rotational limit stop that may need adjusting to allow more hot water to flow through the valve. Included here are the maintenance and installation instructions to adjust the limit stop. The directions are on page 8.

As for the water flow, you may have mineral deposits in your catridge. While you are adjusting your limit stop, we recommend taking out your cartridge and shaking it back and forth to loosen any deposits. You can also soak it in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and cold water overnight.

water in Faucet not switching to Shower head

After 19 years of installation, when we pull the faucet part down to start the shower the water stops running through faucet but backs up and is coming out at the part of the faucet next to wall and draining down to our basement. No water coming out of Shower head.

Can you help with the diagnosis and what do we need to do?
