I would like to replace my generic single function (temperature only) shower valve control but do not want to replace anything behind the wall. Will the T17094 be compatible so that all I have to do is remove the current shower valve control and install the T17094?
Or do I also have to install the universal rough valve too?

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17094 does not need to have the valve replaced if you have the R10000 series rough in valve already in the wall or you already had a 1700 series valve in the wall. If you have the R10000 multi-choice valve in the wall, then you can replace the new trim easily. If you had an older valve in the wall, you may still use the new trim, but keep your old cartridge. The cartridge that is included with your T17094 will not fit in the older valves.

Thank you for your question. We would recommend using Delta Faucet model # R11000 diverter valve along with Delta Faucet model # T11853 diverter trim to complete this faucet set up. By using this rough and trim, you will be able to use the showerhead or the handshower separately or together.
