Will all those parts working together?

I am remodeling my bathroom. I would like to have an overhead shower plus a hand shower with slide bar. I have picked out following parts and would like to know whether they will work together and whether I am missing anything.

T17097-SS valve trim, R11000 diverter rough, 50560-SS wall elbow, 51708-SS slide bar hand shower, U4993-SS shower arm and flange.

Any recommendation for shower head? I would like something with good water volume going through it.

Answer:
Hi June, Thank you for your question. You will need an R10000-UNBXHF rough to go with your T17097-SS trim. You have the R11000 diverter rough and need the matching diverter trim T11897-SSLHP, plus the handle H597SS. The rest of your items are correct. Our showerheads that feature the H2O Kinetic would be a good choice for your shower.
Thanks,
Dave

What is the MultiChoice Universal rough? And why do I need to purchase it separately?

I am not understanding what it is and what is the difference between with and without. And can you explain the difference between the 17 and the 17T?

Answer:
Hi Sue,
Thank you for your questions. The T17097-PN is the trim that you see on the outside of the wall and the cartridge for the valve body. The R10000 is the Multichoice universal rough in valve, the part that gets plumbed into the wall. You must have both pieces for a complete faucet. The T17 has a dual function pressure balance cartridge that allows you to control temperature and volume on your faucet. The T17T has a dual function thermostatic cartridge to control temperature and volume. The T17T has a higher flow rate and is not affected by the seasonal temperature of the water coming into the faucet.
Thanks,
Dave

The Cassidy line has a french curve handle. Can this be installed on the single hole lavatory faucets and shower sets?

If you cannot use this handle on the whole collection, what's the point?

Answer:
Hi Cindy,
Thank you for your question. The french curve handle will not work on the Cassidy single hole lav faucets or the 17 series tub/shower faucets. The handles are compatible with the Cassidy 2 handle lav faucets and the 13/14 series tub/shower faucets.
Thanks,
Dave

Extension for shower

Customer avatar
by
Colleen
Tulare, CA 93274, USA
We just built a new shower. The plumber installed the 17097. Then our tile man did his thing. The shower is now ready for the outside of the faucet to be installed. But the thing that comes out of the wall is too short to work. We cannot chip the new tile out, it would ruin the shower. Is there an an extension we can attach to the whatever it is called that comes out of the wall to attach the rest of the shower faucet to? Help!
Thanks Colleen

Hi Colleen,

I am sorry to hear about the trouble that you are having with your faucet and I would be happy to help.

Unfortunately, we do not manufacture extensions for our showers. I apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. The roughs are basically the same, it is just the piping used that makes the difference. The models with IP are used with iron pipe, the models with PX are used with pex pipe, and the models with BX can be used with copper, iron pipe, pex, or CPVC piping.

WS stands for "with screwdriver stops" which means you can turn the water off at the shower without turning it off in the whole house.

The BX in the model number means it is a single box model. This is only used on the UN model because the R10000-UN has to be ordered in case packs of 12.

The T on the R10000-UNBXT means that it is for a thin wall mount which is usually a fiberglass tub.

Can the Cassidy MultiChoice 17 be used with the High Flow R10000-UNBXHF valve?

I am trying to assemble a custom shower using the Cassidy Collection that will have a separate diverter, hand shower, and a rain can shower head. My model numbers as follows T17097 MONITOR 17, R11000 VALVE ,57021 HANDSHOWER, 50560 ELBOW CONNECTION, RP61273 SHOWER ARM, RP48686 RAINCAN SHOWER HEAD, T11897-LHP CASSIDY DIVERTER, R10000-UNBXHF VALVE. Will all these above listed work together and have I assembled all the necessary parts to complete this type of shower? I also want to make sure I have the correct shower controller. I prefer the controls which will control the water temperature and the water flow separately. Thank you

Answer:
Jan, thank you for the great question and what a great collection in the Cassidy! The first thing we would like to note is that Delta part #R10000-UNBXHF cannot be hooked up to a tub spout. It is permanently plugged on the tub port. It will work for a shower only application.

Of the parts listed, there would also need to be a handle on the order. We would recommend Delta part #H597 which is the handle needed to complete the T11897-LHP (Less Handle Program). Also need to order H597 handle for the T11897-LHP.

All of the Delta Faucet "17 series" include a dual function cartridge which will allow you to control the water temperature and water flow separately!
