Victorian Monitor® 17 Series Shower Trim 3.8 5 14 14
leaking/junk I love the look of this and spent the extra money buying something nice, from a supposed to be great brand. Well not happy at all. This thing leaks to matter what you do. Come to your website for support, and find out lots of other people have this same problem. To top it off after spending the amount of money I did, now I need to buy a replacement part. NO Thanks! I will purchase something different from a different brand. The supposed cheap stuff I bought for my teenage sons bathroom we have not had any problems with and spent 1/4 of what on spent on this. Two of three have developed severe leaking We like the look of this shower head and the adjustable stream. Also like the easy-to-clean nozzles--just run your finger over the rubbery tips to remove water deposits. That said, for the price we were very surprised to find the outer shell made of plastic. And recently, after returning from a one-month vacation, we found that two of our three shower heads had developed severe leaking at the area where the two parts of the outer shell meet. There doesn't appear to be a user-replaceable o-ring or seal to fix the problem. Perhaps Delta support can provide an easy fix (and we'll be happy to change our review accordingly), otherwise we would advise others to avoid this shower head. August 2, 2014
Delta Shower Head Replacement The shower head is the third one that was installed in a replacement to the original Moen shower head / tub faucet. The first two Delta faucets that were installed functioned so much better than the original Moen installtion that a third was purchased to upgrade the master walkin shower. Shower head delivers excellent spray patterns even at lower supply pressures (wtare supply is a deep well). Independent temperature/flow rate controls allows preferred temperature to be set and consistent temperature from shower-to-shower. Wonderful product when utilized in combination with the 1/2" rough in Delta valve. December 1, 2009
Nice looking shower head. Delta makes nice products for the money. This system has a nice look and feel with easy to operate water valve controls. I don't like multiple valves all over the wall making your shower look more like a boiler room. One muti-function handle on the shutoff valve makes this a very clean and decluttered shower system that is easy to use. Couple this with a 6 function diverter valve and you can have a very multi-functional shower system that has a clean design, looks good, is easy to use, and is affordable. The only negative is that the shower head itself doesn't have many muti-spray features. Still, I could have done much worse while spending way more money. You can always change the shower head if you want. 4 1/2 stars. November 3, 2012
Great product BUT Would like to see the temp control not be made of plastic. The settings for water pressure are great. December 28, 2012
Lacking in quality, but looks great This collection looks great but lacking in quality. After only one year the shower head leaks terribly and sprays out around the area where two pieces join together in order to adjust the spray. Also, the tub faucet has begun to drip constantly and the temperature adjustment dial is extremely hard to move. We also have the widespread lavatory faucet and it too has begun to drip. Purchasing this whole collection seems to have been quite an expensive mistake. October 3, 2014
love the versitility my new Delta shower system is a wonderful showering experience. I love the way I can regulate both the temperature of the water as well as the amount of water. I like to use less water while shaving my legs but want to keep the water very warm at the same time. This unit allows me to do that. And the 3 settings on the shower head let me dial just the right velocity. Wonderful. May 12, 2011
Hard to find brass, nice product I had a newer shower door, so changing to another metal than brass was not an option. This was the only brass trim kit that would work with our previous shower set, it is beautiful and I love the different settings on the showerhead. May 28, 2013

What's the color of the center of the shower head?

At your website, the picture of this shower trim -- the center of the shower head is a dark color; however, the picture on many of the online dealers the center is a light color. When I order the part, what color will it be? dark or light?

Answer:
Hi IAU, Thank you for your question. The color of the center of the showerhead model RP34355RB that comes in the Victorian series faucet switched to the darker color at the end of 2012. This change only affected the venetian bronze (RB) finish.
Thanks,
Dave

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17255-RB does not have an auto shut-off. It has to be shut off at the valve.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17255-RB is receommended to be paired with the rough-in valve R10000-UNBXHF since there is not a tub spout being used. You will get the best water flow using this valve.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17255 has two cartridges available depending on your valve system. If you have the multi-choice valve that we introduced in 2006, then your cartridge would be model # RP46463. If you have a valve before 2006, then the cartridge would be model # RP32104.

Is a new valve required for this handle and faucet set?

I had an old Moen handle and faucet that I am replacing in my shower. Am I required to use the valve system that I see as an accompanying item to this particular Delta faucet for it work (T17255)? The replacement drywall is already installed, and if possible, I would prefer not to replace the old valve system. Again, if possible, I would simply like to install this handle and faucet using the existing valve system.

Second question. With some of the other Victorian series faucets, it seems the mult-function has five settings. This faucet seems to indicate that it has only two. Is this true, or are there also five settings with the T17255 model?

Thank you.

Answer:
Thank you for your questions. Delta Faucet model # T17255 is designed to function with a Delta Faucet rough-in valve like the R10000-UNBX and will not work with a Moen valve. There are three spray settings on this faucet. They are as follows: Massage Spray, Soft Drench Spray, and Full Body Spray.
