When taking a shower, the water never gets really hot but as you turn the temperature control, it continues to cool down. I can't find my answer in the owners manual.

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17285-SS contains a rotational limit stop that may need adjusting to allow more hot water to flow through the valve. Included here are the instructions for adjusting the limit stop. The directions are on page 9 of the booklet.

Thanks for your reply.
I searched your site & found no results for T144996-BN. I looked under commercial products also. Is there another item number?

Why do you offer no shower-only faucets in a brushed nickel finish? Is the stainless finish less shiny & bright than chrome? Would stainless work in a bathroom with brushed nickle hardware & sink faucets?
I like very hot showers. Would the scald-guard feature prevent me from enjoying really hot water? Is there another Grail model without scald-guard if this will be a problem?
Thanks.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. We do not offer a shower only in the brushed nickel finish but we do offer one in a tub and shower. You can either purhcase it complete or as a trim and rough-in valve separately. The model for the complete kit is 144996-BN and the separate models are T144996-BN and R10000-UNBX. You will just need to plug the tub spout and not use the spout. Stainless steel is less shiny than chrome so it may work with your existing brushed nickel finished products already in your bathroom.
Behind the handle of your shower is a rotational limit stop that regulates how hot the water can get. This is set to about around105 degrees but you can adjust it to a higher setting when installing your trim. Regulations prohibit us from manufactuing a shower without a scald-
