Answer:
Thank you for your question. The difference between Delta Faucet model numbers T14492 and T17492 is on the T14492 the volume cannot be adjusted. There is only one dial for temperature. However, Delta Faucet model # T17492 has two dials that sit on top of each other-one is for volume and one is for temperature.

Difference between the 17 Series and the 17T Series

The 17 Series Dual Function Pressure Balanced features appear to the same as the 17T Series Thermostatic. Page 141 of your new catalog has 4 bullet items under each type and they are almost exactly the same description. Please explain the difference and how it affects the user.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. The biggest difference between the 1700 series and the 17T series is how the temperature is maintained for the user. When using the 1700 series, the temperature is controlled by the pressure in the water coming into the faucet. If the cold water suddenly gets turned down, like when someone flushes a toilet, then the hot water will also be turned down to avoid scalding.

The 17T series works thermostically to maintain the temperature balance with 3 degrees of where you set the dial.
