Very disapointed...it's plastic

Why is this plastic...it seems very cheap and it was not..I paid excess of $300?

Is there a more quality model that is metal that I can switch to. The valve has already been tiled over by the installer.

Disappointed that it would be plastic.

Answer:
Hi Robert, Thank you for your question. The showerhead, tub spout, and temperature knob are not metal on the model T17455. The shower arm, shower arm flange, escutcheon, and volume control are metal. This is standard in our 17 series faucets.
Thanks,
Dave

Shower head only has one setting

How do you switch from massage setting (inner ring flow) to regular setting (outer ring flow)? There does not seem to be a way to change it.

Answer:
Hi SpeedyDD,
Thank you for your question. The showerhead that comes with your 1700 Series victorian tub/shower faucet should be a 3 function showerhead. Full body spray, Massage spray, and Soft Drench spray. The lever at the bottom of the showerhead controls these functions. It helps to hold the showerhead in one hand and push the lever with the other as sometimes the whole unit can spin.
Thanks,
Dave

How do I customize this set?

I would like to expand this set (Victorian Monitor® 17 Series Tub and Shower Trim) to include a wall-mounted hand-held shower. How do I do that? I have found the hand-held shower, but which valve do I need? Is it necessary to order each of the components separately, or can I create a custom set? If so, can I use a different shower head?

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17455-SS can have a handheld shower added to it by getting a few pieces. Delta Faucet model # R11000 is the diverter rough-in valve. It is paired with model # T11855-SS trim. Whichever handshower you have chosen will also need a wall supply elbow which is model # 50560-SS.

What have you done to fix the issue with this spout?

I have been a plumber for 18yrs. and have always loved your products. I sell your products to my customers and family. This units spout is the exception! It has never worked in any of the at least 50 installations I have provided my customers or , the house i bought , which has one also. My local rep(Mackey) just keeps handing me another and another ... but it never works! What do i do? Is there an alternate spout that looks good but works?
