What are the parts made of - plastic or metal?

I've purchased the Cassidy faucet (597LF-MPU) in polished nickel and love it! I was considering buying the matching shower and tub components. The display model at the store feels like only the handle is metal. The rest of the parts - tub spout, shower head, etc. - feel like plastic. Could you please clarify what they are made of? The sink faucet is so heavy duty and I was hoping for the same for the tub/shower fixtures. Thank you

Answer:
Hi Sandy, Thank you for your question. The break down of the components for the model T17497-PN faucet are as follows. The escutcheon, volume control handle, shower arm, and shower arm flange are metal components. The showerhead, tub spout, and temperature control knob are non-metallic.
Thanks,
Dave

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Based on your description, it sounds like you may have what is called shower rise. This can be fixed by making sure all of these rules are being followed:
1) The distance between your valve and tub spout is between 8 and 18 inches.
2) The piping between the valve and the tub spout has to be copper or iron pipe. It cannot be PVC.
3) There can only be one 90 degree angle from the valve to the tub drop.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model #T17497 includes a rotational limit stop to prevent scalding. It may be that your limit stop is set to low for your taste. It can be adjusted. Included here are the instruction for your faucet. On page 7 are the directions for adjusting your rotational limit stop.
