Additional questions to your response to my prior question ("Shutoff valve for shower"),

You indicated using the R11000 diverter & T11855-RB. I assume that these would be to control the handheld shower. Is this correct?

If so, does this means that the ceiling Raincan showerhead and the wall hand shower would be plumbed separately and be completely independent of each other?

Does this mean that they could both be on separately or together?

You indicated using the "R10000-UNWSHF the Multichoice High-Flow shower rough". Are you recommending to use the "R10000-UNWSHF" instead of the "R10000-IPWS"?

If so, why are you recommending the "R10000-UNWSHF" over the "R10000-IPWS"?

What are the differences between the two valves?

Thanks.

Answer:
Hi Kirby,
I attached a generic picture showing how the installation would look. Ignore the bodysprays. The fixed showerhead would be replaced with your raincan showerhead from above.
The 3 function diverter will have a selector knob that will allow you to operate 1) Raincan showerhead only 2) Handheld showerhead only 3) Both showerheads at the same time. So the R11000 will control the flow of water to both showerheads. The reason we recommended the R10000-UNWSHF is that the valve has a higher waterflow rate that will make sure you have plenty of water available for both showerheads.
Thanks,
Dave

In your response to my prior question ("Shutoff valve for shower"), you indicated that each showerhead could be used separately.

What lever or mechanism will I use to switch between the two showerheads? Where is this mechanism located and how is it operated? Do I need anything additional other than the parts that I listed?

Answer:
Actually, this question can be discarded. I replaced it with a different question "Shutoff valve for shower - follow up question 2"..

When I initially read the response to my first question, I missed part of the response. After re-reading the initial response, the this "follow up 1" question is no longer applicable.

I am building a walk-in shower. My plans are as follows. Mount a Delta RP52382RB Raincan Showerhead from the ceiling with a 24” down rod. Mount a secondary Delta 75525RB Hand Shower on the wall. Use a Delta T17T055-RB TempAssure 17T Series Valve along with a Delta Faucet R10000-IPWS MultiChoice Universal Tub and Shower Valve Body. (My finishes are Victorian - Venetian Bronze.)
The T17T055 valve indicates it support a tub/shower installation. I plan to connect the 75525RB hand shower to the tub connection. I see where the 75525RB has a pause setting but the Q&A indicates that there will still be a trickle of water. I do not see where there is a cutoff option on the 75525RB hand shower or a diverter/shutoff lever on the T17T055 valve. I only want to run one showerhead at a time.
I saw a volume control (Delta U4760-RB-PK) but was not sure that this was the appropriate or effective solution. I saw a comment somewhere that it reduces the water flow even when fully open. I saw another comment that indicated that it was not designed to fully shutoff the water flow.
Am I overlooking something? Is there an additional part that I can purchase to provide this functionality? Do I need to change out one of my options in order to get this dual but separate functionality?

Answer:
Hi Kirby2000,
Thank you for your question. The part that you are overlooking is the R11000 diverter rough and the matching 3 setting trim T11855-RB. This will allow you to use each showerhead seperately or function at the same time. We would also recommend using the R10000-UNWSHF the Multichoice High-Flow shower rough. You will also need the shower arm and flange to mount your handheld showerhead.
Thanks,
Dave
