Answer:
Thank you for your question. In order to possibly use Delta Faucet model T17T253-SS, we need to first determine your current series faucet. If you turn on your faucet by pushing the handle up and then turning right or left, you have a 600 series faucet. If that is the case, this trim will not work with your existing valve.
If you just turn to the right or left, you have a 1300/1400 series and this trim will not work with your valve.
However, if you have two separate dials, one for temperature and one for volume, then you have a 1700 series faucet and this trim will not work. You have to have had the 17T series in the wall already to be able to use this trim.

Thank you for your question. If you are going to run your tub spout off of your diverter rough instead of the tub spout, we recommend Delta Faucet model # RP48333. It is a non-diverter tub spout that coordinates with your bath suite.

I'm remodeling my bathroom and I have purchased your Tub and shower trim kit T17T453 with rough in kit # R10000-UNBX , but I want to add your Hand Shower 55530. What other parts do I need to make this happen? Can everything work off a single valve or does the hand shower need a separate valve to operate? Also will I be able to have the shower head and hand shower on at the same time?

Thank you for your question. When adding features to your tub/shower combination, you will need to purchase Delta Faucet model # R11000 rough-in diverter and T11853 diverter trim. You will be able to operate the handshower or the stationary shower by themselves or together at the same time. We also recommend a wall elbow to connect your handshower. We suggest model # 50570.

I ordered this product from Plumbers Supply and received it today. I am very disappointed that the faucet that comes with it is plastic. I understand Delta has a lifetime warranty, but will this faucet really last? Or do you have a version that comes with a metal faucet. Please respond as soon as possible as my contractor is about to install it.
Thanks,
Tony

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17T453 does include a non-metallic tub spout. It should last as long as it needs to but we also have a limited lifetime warranty to the original owner. If something happens to the faucet under normal wear and tear, we will replace it at no charge to the original order.
If you prefer a metal tub spout, we do manufacture one for that series. It is Delta Faucet model # RP49758.
