The Delta® Allora® pull-down kitchen faucet is the recipient of a Silver ADEX Award in the 2008 Award for Design Excellence competition.  The contest is hosted annually by the Design Journal, the international trade publication for interior designers.

This is the 14th annual ADEX Awards competition, which is the largest and most prestigious awards program for product design of furniture, fixtures and finishes marketed to the design trade. An anonymous panel of professionals representing a cross section of the design industry conducts all voting for the ADEX Awards. ADEX judges are among the best in their respective areas of expertise and so the ADEX Award represents the best product designs of the year in the opinion of those who themselves reside at the top of their specialty.

The Allora pull-down kitchen faucet from Delta was selected for this award because its unique design brings together function, convenience and style into one affordable and attractive package. The faucet offers consumers the convenience of a pull-down with a wand that intuitively connects with the spout when not in use for a consistently clean look. The unique magnetic docking system, called MagnaTite™, engages the wand to its docked position in a snap. The faucet was inspired by the classic simplicity and functionality of a watering can. Designed for a broad aesthetic, the faucet’s high-arc look features hints of traditional influences with modern interpretation. Available in both kitchen and smaller bar/prep models, Allora’s kitchen model features a two-function pull-down wand that switches from stream to spray with the click of a button, while the bar/prep’s stream-only functionality is a fit to the environment.  

Availability

The Delta MagnaTite™, an exclusive magnetic docking system, is currently available on the Allora pull-down spray kitchen faucet.  This magnetic docking system will expand in 2008 to include the brand’s most popular pull-out and pull-down kitchen faucets including the Victorian® and Leland®.
