ATLANTA

Delta Faucet Company and the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors—National Association (PHCC) awarded six $2,500 scholarships during the annual PHCC convention at the Marriott Marquis Hotel. The award recipients are students attending colleges, trade schools or participating in apprenticeship programs who are entering plumbing-heating-cooling (PHC) careers. The announcement was made in conjunction with the "Network ‘08" convention, which joins the American Supply Association (ASA) and the PHCC—National Association meetings into one event, bringing plumbing contractors, wholesalers and manufacturers together.

"We are pleased to recognize these committed students in the PHC industry, and are confident that our support will enable them to attain their professional goals and become leaders in the field" said Jon Dartt, vice president of trade and international sales for Delta Faucet Company.

The following students were awarded the PHCC scholarships and will continue their education in the fall semester:

  • Jacob Anderson of Wenatchee, WA, a junior at the University of Washington Business School in Seattle, WA.
  • David Daniel Dickey of Montgomery, MI, enrolled in the plumbing apprenticeship program through PHCC of North Central Indiana and is employed by Jim Love Plumbing Services, Inc.
