Delta® Expands Award-Winning H2Okinetic Showerhead Series

New Products Offer Water-Efficient Flow Rate Without Sacrificing Comfort

ATLANTA

At the 2009 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show, Delta® introduced an expansion and enhancement of its award-winning Water-Efficient Showerheads with H2Okinetic Technology®. The showerheads flow at an efficient 1.5 gallons per minute (gpm) at 60 pounds per square inch (psi), yet deliver a warm, drenching shower – offering consumers a smarter way to conserve water without compromising comfort.

“The 1.5 gpm flow rate of a Delta water-efficient showerhead saves approximately 40% more water than a standard showerhead flowing at 2.5 gpm. That’s the equivalent of saving 64 16-ounce bottles of water during an average 8-minute shower, without compromising the luxurious feel of the shower experience,” said Frank Foster, Delta senior product marketing manager. “The secret is our exclusive H2Okinetic Technology, which creates a larger water droplet. Larger water droplets retain heat better and provide more water coverage, delivering a warmer, more drenching spray.”

The expansion includes a new Traditional Showerhead that flows at 1.5 gpm, versus the 2.5 gpm of standard showers. It will be available in February 2009 as a stand-alone option or included as a tub/shower option in the Delta Classic® 13 Series, Leland® 14/17 Series and Victorian® 14 Series pressure balance shower systems in March 2009. Finishes include Chrome, Venetian Bronze®, Brilliance® Stainless and Aged Pewter.

The enhanced line also offers the existing Transitional and Contemporary Showerheads with a 1.5 gpm flow rate in additional finishes. The Transitional Showerheads are currently available as a stand-alone option and also will be available as a tub/shower option in the Delta Lahara® 14 Seriesand Grail® 14 Series pressure balance shower systems in March 2009. Contemporary Showerheads will be available as a stand-alone and as a tub/shower option in the Delta Dryden™ 17 Series and Arzo® 14 Series pressure balance shower systems in March 2009. Finishes include Chrome, Venetian Bronze, Brilliance Stainless and Aged Pewter.
