Delta® introduced a unique marriage of form and function at 2009 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show when it unveiled the Pilar™ Waterfall kitchen faucet. Its transitional beauty allows Pilar to look at home in kitchens from contemporary to traditional, meeting the sophisticated style needs of today’s consumer while offering the convenience of a high-arc spout and the improved functionality of front-trigger activation side spray and Touch-Clean® Technology.

The versatile Pilar Waterfall kitchen faucet and coordinating bar/prep are style companions to the Pilar pull-down kitchen faucet with Touch₂O™ Technology, introduced in 2008. The stylish lever handle and 180˚ swing spout make the Pilar Waterfall series a smart choice for the kitchen.

Front-Trigger Activation
“The Pilar Waterfall kitchen faucet makes it easy to fill pots with its graceful, arching spout,” said Kurt Backlund, Delta senior product manager. “It also offers a side spray with easy front-trigger activation, a feature consumers find highly desirable.”

DIAMOND™ Seal Technology
Another product feature is the exclusive DIAMOND™ Seal Technology by Delta Faucet Company. A breakthrough innovation in water delivery, it eliminates contact with potential metal contaminants. DIAMOND Seal Technology also reduces the number of leak points, simplifies installation, and lasts up to 5 million cycles – up to 10 times longer than the industry standard.* (*Industry standard based on ASME A112.18.1 of 500,000 cycles.)

The DIAMOND™ Valve is an integrated ceramic valve cartridge featuring one ceramic disc and one diamond-embedded disc. The diamond-embedded disc constantly polishes the ceramic disc, preventing build-up of calcium and mineral deposits and ensuring smooth, consistent operation of the handle over the life of the faucet.

Seamless, one-piece InnoFlex® waterways ensure that once inside the faucet, water is not in contact with potential metal contaminants.

Touch-Clean® Technology
Touch-Clean Technology adds another functional dimension. Its soft, rubber nubbins enable the homeowner to easily wipe away calcium and lime build-up from the sprayer with the touch of a finger.

Available in July 2009, the Pilar Waterfall is offered in Chrome, Brilliance® Stainless and the warm tones of Venetian Bronze®. A coordinating bar/prep faucet is also available. Later in 2009, to complement this broad suite of transitional kitchen faucets, the Pilar Series will expand to include the Pilar Waterfall with Touch₂O Technology and Pilar Waterfall bar/prep with Touch₂O Technology — giving consumers with even more attractive options from which to choose.

Touch₂O Technology enables the homeowner to turn the faucet on and off with a tap anywhere on the handle or spout, conserving water and helping to prevent cross-contamination.
