At the 2009 Kitchen and Industry Bath Show (K/BIS), Delta Faucet Company revealed several additional kitchen and bath conversions to its exclusive DIAMOND™ Seal Technology (DST).  The DIAMOND™ valve is an integrated ceramic valve cartridge featuring one ceramic disc and one diamond-embedded ceramic disc. The diamond-embedded disc constantly polishes the ceramic disc, preventing build-up of calcium and mineral deposits and ensuring smooth, consistent operation over the life of the faucet.
 
The DIAMOND valve will last up to 5 million uses – up to 10 times longer than the industry standard.  Seamless InnoFlex® PEX waterways are lead-free* and ensure that once inside the faucet, water is not in contact with potential metal contaminants.

“With a durable DIAMOND valve and InnoFlex PEX waterways, this revolutionary water
delivery system eliminates leaks and drips from the valve, and is less hassle to install,” said Rick Roetken, Delta® vice president of marketing.  It also satisfies California statute AB 1953 and Vermont lead legislation mandating that by January 1, 2010, the weighted average lead content in pipes, fittings and fixtures used to convey drinking water cannot exceed 0.25% lead on wetted surfaces. Since its introduction in January 2008, exclusive DIAMOND Seal Technology is now available on more than 120 Delta kitchen and bath models, making it easy for professionals and consumers to comply with current lead laws.

All the parts needed for installation are in the box. The one-piece InnoFlex waterways integrated supply lines can be connected directly to hot and cold shut-off valves. No intermediate riser connections are needed.

Collins™ Kitchen Collection
The transitional Collins kitchen faucet offers a sleek design with the charm of simplicity and includes DIAMOND Seal Technology as one of its many benefits.  It also offers a 9” arched spout for easy filling of pots and pans.

In another innovation, the Collins kitchen faucet incorporates a Touch-Clean® finished spray face on the accompanying vegetable sprayer.  Its soft, rubber nubbins allow the homeowner to easily wipe away calcium and lime build-up from the spray face with the touch of a finger.

Collins is available with standard 2.2 gallons-per-minute (gpm) or water-efficient 1.5 gpm flow rates in Chrome, Brilliance® Stainless and White finishes.

Linden™ Kitchen Faucet
The Linden pull-out kitchen faucet features DIAMOND Seal Technology as well.  Transitional in style, this single-handle pull-out features the exclusive Multi-Flow™ wand by Delta.  The wand flows at a water-saving 1.5 gallons-per-minute (gpm) at 60 pounds-per-square-inch (psi) for both spray and stream, while an easy to use toggle button increases the flow for filling pots, vases or sinks.

Finishes include Chrome, Brilliance Stainless and Venetian Bronze®.  

Talbott™ Kitchen Series
The Talbott™ kitchen series, with its soft curves and subtle flares, now also features DIAMOND Seal Technology.  It conveys a traditional feel, with clean lines for a fresh and inspiring design. Talbott’s 9-inch flared spout with hidden cache aerator features a graceful high arc that makes this faucet both beautiful and functional.  A 360-degree swivel design adds flexibility. In addition, the Talbott series also offers a below-deck diverter housing to allow consumers to easily add a side sprayer at any time.

Every bit as beautiful on the inside as the outside, the Talbott series also incorporates the DURAMOUNT™ enhanced mounting system which provides for fast, durable, corrosion-resistant installation.  The DURAMOUNT system allows tool-free installation.
 
The Talbott kitchen series is available in Chrome and Brilliance® Stainless finishes.

Victorian® Kitchen
The popular Victorian® single-handle kitchen faucet has also been restyled to include DIAMOND Seal Technology.  With design cues inspired by the fleur-de-lis, this faucet features a classic timeless architecture with the latest in leak-free, lead-free* technology.  The bold design combined with the innovative DIAMOND Valve and InnoFlex waterway system make a distinctive statement that’s both reminiscent of another era and leading edge at the same time.

The Victorian collection is available in Chrome, Chrome/Brilliance Polished Brass, Brilliance Pearl Nickel, Brilliance Polished Brass, Aged Pewter, Venetian Bronze® and Brilliance Stainless.   

Classic® Bath
In the bath, the Classic® single-handle lavatory pairs the superior performance of DIAMOND Seal Technology with style cues from proven designs that have withstood the test of time. A hidden cache aerator adds an aesthetic element to the enhanced design of the faucet. With DIAMOND Seal Technology, the series is leak-free, longer lasting, lead-free* and less-hassle.

Like Talbott, the Classic series features the DURAMOUNT mounting system for fast, durable, corrosion-resistant installation.  

In addition, it flows at 1.5 gallons per minute (gpm) and provides approximately 30% more water savings than its standard 2.2 gpm counterparts (ASME.A112.18.1/CSA.B125.1). The Classic single-handle lavatory, like all Delta WaterSense® labeled lavatories, ensures the performance of a water-efficient faucet without sacrificing the comfort and convenience of the user experience or the durability and life span of the product.

Classic bath single-handle lavatory models with DIAMOND Seal Technology are available in Chrome and Brilliance Stainless.

Leland® Bath
In the Leland® Bath Collection, the single-handle lavatory will also be available with the DIAMOND Seal Technology water delivery system in mid-year 2009.  Reinterpreting the time-honored teapot design with decorative detailing, the Leland lavatory offers the best of traditional style with one of the latest water delivery solutions.

Leland is available in Chrome, Brilliance Stainless and Venetian Bronze.
