Frequently Asked Questions

General

Can I connect a portable dishwasher to my kitchen faucet?

Portable dishwashers may be connected to any Delta kitchen faucet that is not a Pull-out or Pull-down design.  Portable dishwashers should never be connected to Pull-out or Pull-down kitchen faucets due to potential pressure fluctuations during dishwasher operation that may result in rupturing of the hose.

Some Delta kitchen faucets have a cache or hidden aerator for design purposes.  This design can be found in the Victorian, Pilar, and Talbott series.  If your model has a cache aerator, you will need to order RP51505 adaptor to adapt the internal threads to a standard 55/64"-27 male threads to be able to make the dishwasher connection.

How do I determine if I have a Delta faucet? Is the Delta name on ALL faucets, including the older models?

Most of the Delta faucets will have the name on the faucet usually on the escutcheon plate or drain cap. However, it is not uncommon for someone to replace the lavatory faucet without replacing the drain assembly. Some of the older models may not say Delta; however, but may indicate MASCO on the aerator. If the internal parts have not been changed from the Genuine Delta parts, the seats will have Delta on them and 2 handle stems are "D"-shaped.

How do I e-mail Delta?

Your Delta Select faucet product information, repair information and warranty are still the same, just under a new name. The Brizo Faucet site location is www.brizo.com.

Hi Craig, Thank you for your question!
I have determined by the photos you have our 13/1400 series tub/shower. You can use any current trim that starts with T13 or T14. For example if you see a model T13420 or T14255 you will be able to use those models. However, you will not be able to use the new valve cartridge that comes with the new trims. You will need to use your existing RP19804 valve cartridge.

Answer:
Hi Metrogalla,

Thank you for your question. You can use any 13 or 14 series trim with the existing 1300/1400 series valve. If your previous unit was manufactured prior to Sept. 2006, you will need to use the original cartridge (or the RP19804) rather than the one that comes with the kit.

Hi Shawn, Thank you for your question!
You have an old Delta 1500 series. Since your screw hole positions on your escutcheon plate ( face plate) are at 1 & 7 you can use RP29405 conversion or a T17 trim. If you use a T17 trim you must purchase or have a new style RP32104 valve cartridge (will not be able to use your existing 1500 series cartridge) and RP22734 bonnet nut. These pieces are included with the RP29405 conversion kit.

Hi Brett, Thank you for your question!
You have our Delta 1448-NP ( 1400 series) tub/shower. Your original tub spout part number RP17453NP in the Pearl Nickel and Polished Brass is no longer available. However, we do still manufacture the same style tub spout in all Polished Brass. The part number for the item is RP17453PB.

I plan on purchasing the Delta T17438 trim kit. Your website says to get the R10000-IP universal valve for this trim kit. I don't understand why there are different versions of your "universal" valve. Why could I not use the R10000-UNWS with the T17438 trim kit?

Answer:
Hi Eagle,

Thank you for your question! You can use any MultiChioce R10000 valve (including R10000-UNWS) with the trim kit. Each version provides for different installation types or preferences, such as what kind of pipes you will use, whether you prefer to have stops on the valve, etc.
