Frequently Asked Questions

Can I connect a portable dishwasher to my kitchen faucet?

Portable dishwashers may be connected to any Delta kitchen faucet that is not a Pull-out or Pull-down design.  Portable dishwashers should never be connected to Pull-out or Pull-down kitchen faucets due to potential pressure fluctuations during dishwasher operation that may result in rupturing of the hose.

Some Delta kitchen faucets have a cache or hidden aerator for design purposes.  This design can be found in the Victorian, Pilar, and Talbott series.  If your model has a cache aerator, you will need to order RP51505 adaptor to adapt the internal threads to a standard 55/64"-27 male threads to be able to make the dishwasher connection.

How do I determine if I have a Delta faucet? Is the Delta name on ALL faucets, including the older models?

Most of the Delta faucets will have the name on the faucet usually on the escutcheon plate or drain cap. However, it is not uncommon for someone to replace the lavatory faucet without replacing the drain assembly. Some of the older models may not say Delta; however, but may indicate MASCO on the aerator. If the internal parts have not been changed from the Genuine Delta parts, the seats will have Delta on them and 2 handle stems are "D"-shaped.

How do I e-mail Delta?

Thank you for your question. Your Delta Faucet 1300 series contains a rotational limit stop that may need adjusting to allow more hot water to flow through the valve. Included here is the maintenance and instruction booklet with those directions. They are on page 8 of the booklet.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. We can recommend two methods of glue removal from your new tub. You can try very warm soapy water, and using your fingernail to remove it. Additionally, you can try a small amount of mineral spirits but you will need to make sure that you rinse the area well after using the mineral spirits.

I just bought a Delta Classic single handle faucet that works great until I hook up my portable dishwasher to it. The back pressure causes it to leak out the bottom below my sink. Is this normal? Is there a better Delta faucet to purchase that will handle the back pressure?
