Frequently Asked Questions

Warranty

Does the Delta Faucet Lifetime Limited Warranty cover faucet seats and springs?

The Delta Faucet Lifetime Limited Warranty covers seats and springs only if these have worn prematurely. For an average household with good water quality, these faucet components should last at least five years.

Does the Delta Faucet Lifetime Limited Warranty cover my plumber's labor charges to install the replacement part or replace my faucet?

No, labor charges are not included. The Delta Faucet Lifetime Limited Warranty covers only the replacement faucet or faucet parts.

My faucet is old. Is it covered by The Delta Faucet Lifetime Limited Warranty?

Not if it was manufactured before January 1, 1995. Delta introduced the Lifetime Limited Warranty January 1, 1995. Before that, there was a two-year warranty. The longer warranty coverage is a result of significant improvements in finish technology, manufacturing tolerances and new models designed to provide an extended faucet life.

What does my shower base warranty cover?

All parts and finishes of the Delta® shower base are warranted to the original consumer purchaser to be free from defects in material and workmanship for the time periods listed below.  This warranty is extensive in that it covers replacement of all defective parts and even finish, but these are the only two things that are covered.

What does the Lifetime Limited Warranty mean?

The Delta® Faucet Lifetime Limited Warranty is one of the most extensive in the industry. It covers manufacturer defects in faucet function as well as faucet finish, provided you are the original purchaser. Labor charges and/or damage incurred during installation, repair or replacement are excluded. Also excluded are repair parts resulting from normal wear and tear.

Our Lifetime Limited Warranty applies to Delta faucets manufactured after January 1, 1995.

This warranty applies to faucets for home use only. It excludes industrial, commercial and business use. Faucets used for these purposes are covered by a five-year limited warranty from date of purchase, with all other terms of the standard warranty applying.

Who do I contact if I have a warranty issue with my shower base?

Call 866.909.3845 - The Delta Help Line is available Monday - Friday, 8 am - 8 pm EST and Saturday 9 am - 6 pm EST

OR

email CustomerCare@deltafaucet.com

With a Lifetime Limited Warranty, do I receive a new faucet with my warranty claim?

Delta will replace your faucet with a new faucet if it is still under warranty and it can't be repaired with replacement parts. Our warranty covers replacement of any defective parts whether function or finish is the issue. If your faucet can be repaired with parts, then parts will be sent to you at no charge.

Lifetime Gaurantee vs Limited Warranty

Hello,
Delta advertises on all its kitchen faucets that its guaranteed for life. However if you look at the website, the warranty on parts to be free from defects in material and workmanship is only good for five (5) years from the date of purchase. Can you please explain the difference?

Answer:
Hi Lori,

Thank you for your question. Our Limited Lifetime Warranty covers non-electronic parts to be free from manufacturing defect to the original owner/purchaser for as long as they own the home. Electronic parts are covered for 5 years. Commercial applications limit the warranty on all parts to 5 years.

Touchless Flush Toilet

Hi. Found that our newly installed (7/2015) toilet is leaking water at the water inlet to the assembly (seal seems to have failed between the upper and lower plastic housing). Do not believe that we submitted the warranty information yet and wondering what you'd suggest is our best course of action?

Thanks -
Mark

I purchased the Delta Model19922-DST and I cannot unscrew the hose from the sprayer to bleed the water lines after installation. I need to unscrew the 54 inch hose from the sprayer to bleed the two water line and then rescrew the hose back into the sprayer.
Thank you in advance for your response!

Answer:
Hi Ron,

Thanks for your question! You can reverse the hot and cold for a back to back installation by removing the cartridge and flipping it upside down. Please see the video below for help with removing the cartridge. Normally, the words "Hot Side" on the cartridge will be on the left. In a reverse installation they will be on the right.

how to remove RP51503 bonnet to replace valve assemby RP50587?

The base portion with the tubes that go down under the sink appears to be hard rubber. When turning the bonnet, the base portion also turns. Is the bonnet threaded into the base portion? Or is there a locking mechanism?

Noted that the plumber installed the RP37490 against the underside of the sink, then installed the RP47029 bracket, then tightened with the nut. Is this the correct order?

Answer:
Hi Glenn,

Thank you for your question. The RP51503 bonnet will unscrew from the base of the valve. If the entire base turns when you try to remove the bonnet, please make sure that the mounting nut is tightened securely under the sink. Regarding the mounting of the faucet, that would be correct. The isolation plate goes against the underside of the sink, then the bracket, then the mounting nut.

Thanks,
Jon

How can I register 2 faucets of the same model?

I purchased 2 faucets of the same model. Since there is nothing unique about any of them (like a serial number), and there is no field for quantity when one registers, how can I indicate I have 2 faucets?
