Answer:
Hi Bob, Thank you for your question. You can combine body sprays with a tub /shower valve set up. One choice would be the combine the tub/shower valve with the R1827-XO jetted shower rough, and a T18037-XO jetted module trim. You can also plumb in a R11000 diverter rough and a diverter trim to match your tub/shower trim and add separate body sprays like the model 50102 to your set up.
Thanks,
Dave

Planning custom shower

I am planning 2 showers for my addition.
One with just a shower head, and one with a shower head and a handheld.
For the one with just the shower head, I am planning on using a R10000-UNBXHF with T14286-SHQ.
For the one with the shower head and handheld, I am planning on using R10000-UNBXHF and R11000 with T14286-SHQ, T11886 and 55424

Is this what I'll need, or are there other valves/parts that are needed?

Answer:
Hi mkdwns, Thank you for your question. Your set up looks good, the only piece that I would recommend that you add is the 50570 wall elbow. The wall elbow is where the hand held shower hose will attach to the wall/ water supply.

What type of installation would require a R10000-HF?

I am interested in installing the Dryden T17251 w/out jets in my master shower. The trim package only calls for the R10000-UN rough-in kit, but did not know if I need the HF for this installation. Do I need the HF for this installation? What benefit and/or versatility would the HF give me?

Answer:
Hi JG, Thank you for your question. The HF stands for High Flow. The R10000-UNBXHF is made for shower only applications and since there is no tub port manufactured in to the valve body the water flow rate out of the valve is higher than the R10000-UNBX. If you are installing the T17251 either valve will provide plenty of water for the showerhead. If you plan on adding other features such as a handheld showerhead or bodysprays the HF model would be the better choice.
Thanks,
Dave

R10000LBX vs UNBX

What is the difference and can they be interchanged? I want to use this to do a new shower installation - shower and separate wall mount hand held. Can I use the R10000LBX that I have and purchase the trim for shower tub and divert to the hand held?

Answer:
Hi Mark, Thank you for your question. The R10000-LBX and the R10000-UNBX are interchangeable. The LBX is the retail model that is packaged differently for Lowes. This rough in can be used in the installation you describe.

Answer:
Hi tkatharina, Thank you for your question. Only 2 of the showerheads will work at a time when using the 6 setting diverter. The 6 setting diverter would be for each showerhead individually and then 3 shared settings You would have to install 2 R10000 rough ins to have the flowrate needed for 3 showerheads running at the same time.
Thanks,
Dave

Can jets be added to Model #:144938D-SS-I

I recently purchased a shower from Delta. I would like to add some spray jets and possibly another shower head to create a spa experience. Would these parts go with the shower I recently purchased? Also can you give me an idea of the configurations that are needed to the plumbing to accomplish this goal?

Answer:
Hi Sweetdread,

Thank you for contacting us.
Yes, you can add jets and a handshower to 144938D-SS-I.

The following model numbers are needed:
R1827-XO
T18017-SSXO

This is the rough and trim for the jets that comes with an extra outlet. The showerhead and handshower would then plumb to the top ports on the jet rough in. You can choose any handshower to go with the unit.

T14486-SHQ

Hi,

I purchased a couple T14486-SHQ Shower/Tub sets with the Rough. I did not realize that the tub spout is not long enough to reach the tube since the tub is installed about 5" off the wall. Is there a Tub Spout available that is either extra long or can be surface mounted and is still compatible with the Valve? I want to try and avoid using a Roman Tub setup so I dont have 3 or more holes on the surface.

Thank you,

J
