Frequently Asked Questions

General

Can I connect a portable dishwasher to my kitchen faucet?

Portable dishwashers may be connected to any Delta kitchen faucet that is not a Pull-out or Pull-down design.  Portable dishwashers should never be connected to Pull-out or Pull-down kitchen faucets due to potential pressure fluctuations during dishwasher operation that may result in rupturing of the hose.

Some Delta kitchen faucets have a cache or hidden aerator for design purposes.  This design can be found in the Victorian, Pilar, and Talbott series.  If your model has a cache aerator, you will need to order RP51505 adaptor to adapt the internal threads to a standard 55/64"-27 male threads to be able to make the dishwasher connection.

How do I determine if I have a Delta faucet? Is the Delta name on ALL faucets, including the older models?

Most of the Delta faucets will have the name on the faucet usually on the escutcheon plate or drain cap. However, it is not uncommon for someone to replace the lavatory faucet without replacing the drain assembly. Some of the older models may not say Delta; however, but may indicate MASCO on the aerator. If the internal parts have not been changed from the Genuine Delta parts, the seats will have Delta on them and 2 handle stems are "D"-shaped.

How do I e-mail Delta?

Construction in Uganda- would like your faucets=etc.?

Hi, we have your shower heads in our home in the U.S. and are wondering if we can get the same metric items for use and installation in Uganda. We have a construction supplier who can import things from China or possibly Dubai if these items could be shipped through them. Initially we will need 2 Delta Nura Venetian Bronze 1-Handle Shower Faucet with Multi-Function Showerhead Item #: 419927 | Model #: 142710-RB-I , but would add an additional order of 16 more for two other phases of construction. Please advise if these are available in metric because the installation in Uganda uses metric tools and UK or European standards. Thanks for your help.

Faucet quality based on source of purchase

My builder wants us to buy faucets from a store which is recommended by their plumber. They say that retailers like Home Depot sell the same models for cheaper because the 'back-end' stuff in the faucet is plastic for retailers, while it is higher quality (metal) for the smaller dedicated showroom stores. They also say that plumber's warranty will be void if we bought faucets from the internet rather than the stores they suggested. Please help me understand this confusing information.
Thanks

Answer:
Hi Arso, Thank you for your question. If you are purchasing a Delta product whether online, from a retailer, or a plumbing supply if the product has the same model number the product will be exactly the same. A model 2497LF faucet purchased from Amazon, Home Depot, or Fergusons would be the exact same item.

Answer:
Hi blbarnett, Thank you for your question. Pictured is a Delta Delex model 3504. You can switch out to a lever style handle. Our H22 A22, H24 A24, H25, and H212 handles will fit this faucet. You will also want to switch out the stem assemblies to RP25513 so that the lever handles operate in the proper directions.

Which shower valve do I need for the Delta 58472?

I am building a new house and I know the plumber asked which brand of shower head we are going to be ordering. It is a shower only unit, so I am trying to figure out all of the differences in the trim kit series and which work/ which ones I need to make my shower head operate properly.

Answer:
Hi Kimberly, Thank you for your question. The model 58472 can be used with all of our shower trims. Our 13/14 series trims allow you to control the temperature of the water. Our 17 series trims allow you control over both temperature and volume. In a shower only application we recommend the R10000-UNBXHF rough in valve to complete your faucet.

Answer:
Hi Rhett, Thank you for your question. If your faucet model starts with T17 then that is the faucet trim only. A separate R10000 rough will have to be purchased to make a complete faucet. Most retail outlets will sell the faucet as a complete model.

Delta Monitor 13

I currently have a Delta Monitor 13 faucet in my shower and was curious if you guys have a oil rub bronze trim that I can use to replace my current trim with. I found a Delta Foundations BT14096-OB Monitor 14 Series Valve Trim Only, Oil Bronze but was not sure if that would fit a 13 Series or not.

Answer:
Hi Brian, Thank you for your question. The BT14096-OB trim will fit a 13 series rough in. The new trim will ship with a new cartridge. If your faucet is newer than February 2005 the cartridge will work with your existing rough. If your faucet is older than February 2005 the new cartridge will not work in your existing rough, you would have to continue to use the existing cartridge.
Thanks,
Dave

Answer:
Hi Doyen58, Thank you for your question. The model 19949-SSSD-DST comes with 3/8" female compression fittings. You will have to adapt the return line from the water filter system to connect to this fitting with a 3/8" male compression fitting. This will then allow filtered water to flow through the faucet.
