Frequently Asked Questions

General

Can I connect a portable dishwasher to my kitchen faucet?

Portable dishwashers may be connected to any Delta kitchen faucet that is not a Pull-out or Pull-down design.  Portable dishwashers should never be connected to Pull-out or Pull-down kitchen faucets due to potential pressure fluctuations during dishwasher operation that may result in rupturing of the hose.

Some Delta kitchen faucets have a cache or hidden aerator for design purposes.  This design can be found in the Victorian, Pilar, and Talbott series.  If your model has a cache aerator, you will need to order RP51505 adaptor to adapt the internal threads to a standard 55/64"-27 male threads to be able to make the dishwasher connection.

How do I determine if I have a Delta faucet? Is the Delta name on ALL faucets, including the older models?

Most of the Delta faucets will have the name on the faucet usually on the escutcheon plate or drain cap. However, it is not uncommon for someone to replace the lavatory faucet without replacing the drain assembly. Some of the older models may not say Delta; however, but may indicate MASCO on the aerator. If the internal parts have not been changed from the Genuine Delta parts, the seats will have Delta on them and 2 handle stems are "D"-shaped.

How do I e-mail Delta?
I have a Delta Select faucet, but cannot locate any information on the Delta site. Where can I find information on the Delta Select products?

Your Delta Select faucet product information, repair information and warranty are still the same, just under a new name. The Brizo Faucet site location is www.brizo.com.

Hi Tom, Thank you for your question!
Thank you for your question. There is an adapter available. RP51505 will screw into the faucet and give you 55/64-27 male threads which will give you a platform for a swivel aerator.

where do I find the model number?

I bought a single handle kitchen faucet at a garage sale and I need the escutcheon piece for the bottom where it sits on the sink. I can't locate the model number on it anywhere. The box it came in is not the original box. How do I match the metal and locate the piece I need?

Answer:
Hi Don,

Thank you for your question. The ice maker should connect directly to the water supply from your home. You can attach a T-fitting to the supply which should allow you to connect the faucet and ice maker on the same supply.

Changing to a Model 17

Hi, I've attached a picture of my daughter's Delta Monitor shower trim. This is a single function faucet controlling only temperature. She want to control volume also. Can you identify her current faucet and then tell the replacement valve cartridge name and model number? Also, is new trim required or can the old be used with the new dual function valve. Thanks and Best regards, John

Answer:
Hi John, Thank you for your question. The pictured faucet depending on age is a 1300/1400 series or a 13/14 series. If the faucet is older than February 2006 it would be a 1300/1400 series faucet and cannot be switched out to a 17 series trim.
If the faucet is newer than February 2006 the rough in valve should be our R10000 multi-choice universal rough that would allow the trim to be switched to a 17 series. The new trim will ship with the dual function cartridge. You cannot use the dual function cartridge with the single function trim.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi DeeDee, Thank you for your question. Unless the shower arm has mutliple angles/bends in it the length itself should not effect the flow rate ofthe showerhead. Multiple bends would effect the flowrate.
