install -- no more difficult than a faucet installation. All hoses,
connectors and mounting hardware are included in the box. Below is a
brief summary of the installation process. See the Owners Manual for
The filters last up to 100 gallons or approximately 3 months. The color of the light indicator shows the status of the filter life:
The PUR 3-stage filter includes:
- Stage 1: CLEANS via trapping sediment in a poly spun fiber sediment wrap
- Stage 2: HEALTHY via a powdered activated coconut carbon and a heavy metal adsorbent (Aluminum silicate - Alusil),
- Stage 3: TASTE ENHANCEMENT via loose-filled natural Coral Calcium in the central core of the filter
PUR filters are available at most major retail stores, including home improvement stores, discount stores, drug stores, hardware stores and grocery stores. Simply PUR water filtration system uses PUR blue faucet mount replacement filters found anywhere PUR products are sold ? RF-4050 L or RF-9999.
The filter is located in a small housing unit mounted below the sink. The system includes a flexible mounting system to allow for placement anywhere inside the sink cabinet. Filters are easy to change with a turn of the filter’s lower housing unit.
The filter needs to be replaced. Simply PUR will automatically shut-off at the end of the filter life if there is continued use of the filter after the light turns red. The filter should be replaced when the light indicator is red.

We do not offer an adapter that will allow a water filter to be attached to the spout on this particular faucet. You may want to look at under the counter filtration options.
Removing the aerator and flushing the faucet should clear up the scream. This is usually caused by debris trapped in the faucet.
We recommend soaking a towel in a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water and wrapping the towel around the end of the spout. This should soak in and help break up the mineral deposits allowing the aerator to be removed. Then soak the aerator in the same solution to get it clean.
