We bought (from HD) and installed the Classic Monitor 13 tub and shower in our home 8 years ago and the seals failed in this unit. The unit failed because of poor Engineering / Manufacturing. Delta has quality issues. And they will not stand behind their warranty. Their customer service was rude and told us we can buy a new one from delta because we did not save the recite. (Bait and Switch) And it means nothing to them if it is a Delta product. Do it right from the start and buy a Symmons! They stand buy there USA made product unconditionally. Delta does not stand by there Asian made products beware!

Does the rough-in for this Monitor Series 13 fit the old 600 series?

When we built our house new in 1990, we specified all Delta faucets for our house. We had the 600 series shower/tub unit (model 642 with diverter spout) that resembles this one. We had a leaking faucet so was going to do a replacement kit but could not get the cap unscrewed and ended up damaging the 3 soft copper lines from the valve assemble to the control valve when it twisted and broke. With that in mind, and the issue of having to get back into the wall without redoing our fiberglass tub/shower unit, was wondering if this new model will fit the rough in we have for the copper lines to the existing valve so when we replace the valve, everything will hopefully line up somewhat so we will not need to do major rework.

Thank you for your post. Delta part #R10000-UNBX (Multichoice Universal Valve) has similar dimensions to that of the 600 series rough-in valve, but the R10000-UNBX is a little larger. How do u get the shower head to come on?

Just moved into an apartment and can't figure out how to get the shower head to operate.

Hi Marsha, Thank you for your question! To engage the shower you will need to pull down on the underside of the tub spout where the water would come out. The ring is the diverter. Best regards, Brandis

I have a constant drip from the shower in the downstairs bathroom.  How do I fix it?

Hello, we just moved into our house and the bathroom has a similar delta tub spout.  The hot water comes out strong but the cold trickles.  How do I remove the screen to check and see if it’s clogged?

Hello Frobles, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model T13422-PD Classic Monitor® 13 Series Tub & Shower Trim In Chrome. I apologize for the low flow of the cold water. I know that can be frustrating. We are happy to help! Recommended maintenance is to flush the valve with the cartridge removed. This will shoot water across the shower, clean out any debris, and check that there is a good flow of cold water getting to the valve. I also recommend replacing the RP4993 seats and springs in the legs of the cartridge. What kind of valve is use in this product?

This is what I have in my current home. I am looking to upgrade but want something that is interchangeable with the trim kit. Are there any other options other than Chrome?

Hi Gabe, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model T13422-PD. A 13 series shower installed since 2006 would use a MultiChoice R10000 valve. So any current MultiChoice trim kit can be used to upgrade the tub and shower faucet. If you are seeking a new trim and you have a 1300/1400 series tub/shower trim, you can use any of our current 13/1400 series tub/shower trims.
