Savile Single Handle Kitchen Faucet with Spray 3.1 5 8 8
This faucet is highly deficient in both design and function The faucet was easy to install. Once that was accomplished, and water turned on, the problems arose. The Hand held spray unit leaks for a time when released. The aerator does not inject sufficient air into the water stream, causing the water to splash excessively. Delta replaced the aerator, but the new one works the same as the original. To repair the spray, they sent a control valve for the main faucet. I would not recommend the purchase of this unit. Good looks, iffy performance I've always had good luck with Delta products (my dad was a plumber who preferred them, too), so I bought this with high hopes. It does look nice, but there is one big issue: It drips. A lot. Over the course of a year or so, the handle has gotten increasingly finicky; that is, you couldn't just push it to the left and expect it to shut off. It's gotten to the point where there is only one tiny, exact spot you can put the handle so the faucet doesn't drip. The result: constant dripping because no one expects that turning off the faucet should be an act of precision engineering. Making things worse, I bought and installed it as a surprise for my wife, who didn't share my appreciation for its aesthetics. Now it drips like crazy (if you don't obsess on the handle) and I look like a schmuck for buying an expensive faucet that's increasingly difficult to shut off. My wife is not happy. December 24, 2013
Easiest I've ever installed I despise plumbing and dreaded putting a new faucet. The install was very simple, the new push in style fittings worked flawlessly, I was very skeptical of them. The only downside was the attached supply lines, great idea but they were very much longer than I needed and very stiff, butI understand the need to make them that long to cover the wide variety of install options. Love the faucet Love the faucet.Easy to install. The only problem I am having is a part I am looking for.I have the Savile model #11949-dst. I am looking for the 2.2 gpm aerator. I ordered the part number the manual had listed rp53998 however it does not fit my faucet. It will not screw in. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. April 1, 2013
Design and quality Ease of installation was great. The sprayer drips after every use (quality) The spout has a spring that keeps it from being set to one side or the other and out of the way when using the sink. (design) Can the spring be released or unhooked? October 6, 2013
Sorry I bought this faucet Spout swivels to easily, will not stay in desired position. Hose on sprayer is not flexible enough. After one month cant get used to handle hot cold on off. It seems to me like handle should shut off in down position. on in up position. March 14, 2013
This product is only o.k. because of the Delta warranty. The faucet handle attach, is designed poorly, its attach point to the valve stem is made of a thin cheep pot metal. My handle has broken off here, and is now on back order ! :-( I'm a not so happy Mechanical Engineer. May 18, 2013
This product looks good and works well thus far. Installation was quick and easy! There have been no issues yet. May 10, 2013

Customer wanted this to be able to control from the front, or back. It seems like it could be done

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 11949-SSSD-DST can be used without the deckplate and you may turn the faucet so that the handle is in front. The hot and cold will then be left and right instead of forwards and backwards.
