Lewiston Single Handle Pull-Out Kitchen Faucet with Soap Dispenser 4.1 5 21 21
Nice looking faucet but black particles I really liked this faucet and the features when it was installed in October 2011. A few weeks ago I was filling up a white bucket using the wand and there were tons of tiny black particles in the water. Checked again with the wand in place and no black particles. Every time the wand is used, the black particles appear. I called the 800 number today and service rep was outstanding. He seemed to know exactly what it was and put an order on rush for a new hose. I can't say enough about the service but I'm not so sure about the quality of the faucet. I don't know how long we've been drinking whatever is in there. Hopefully the new hose fixes the problem. Exceptional quality and design We called our plumber to repair an existing American Standard faucet in our kitchen that was leaking water. When he looked at the condition of it, he advised us to "not put good money after bad" and replace it. He recommended some of the new models with pull-out aereators, and steered us towards Delta. In his years of plumbing, his experience taught him that the quality of manufacture and design that is put into the engineering of the Delta faucets translates directly into reliability, serviceability, and dependability. He was so right. It felt really great to us from the first pull of the handle. And we look forward to this elegant fixture gracing our kitchen for many years to come. June 12, 2012
Water temperature control poor; other aspects good. I love all the aspects of this faucet except for one very important issue. It is difficult to adjust the water temperature as the sweet spot (for lukewarm adjustment) is about an 1/8" wide at the center. To the left of that spot its hot and to the right its cold. If you use the switch adjustment they recommend, then you only end up with cold water. My single handle faucet in my bathtub has about a 2 inch or more swing area for lukewarm adjustment. Why can't Delta design a wider lukewarm adjustment area. April 11, 2013
Good faucet, lousy soap dispenser The faucet works great. The pull out feature works flawlessly. The spray head is a bit difficult to clean. I use an old toothbrush to get between the nozzles. One of the nozzles is stopped up and I've yet to figure out how to unplug it. Hopefully I can disassemble it and back flow through it. The buttons that switch from stream to spray work great and are well located. I've broken the soap dispenser twice. It seems to be weak where the head attaches to the pump. I hope Delta has improved the design. I'm waiting for another replacement. March 31, 2013
DIY Friendly We purchased the Delta Lewiston SS kitchen faucet to replace an old broken Moen. My wife and I prepared for a long afternoon to remove and replace our faucet. Much to our surprise, the installation of the Delta faucet was exceptionally easy. We especially liked the built-in water supply lines. This is the first time I remember not having to go to the hardware store for additional parts! The best part was my wife and I didn't argue once during the installation process! Thanks for a well designed, homeowner-friendly product. June 16, 2013
Awesome product I must say - I love this faucet! I'm writing this review because I recently found that the little plastic thing inside my soap dispenser was broken - I contacted Delta and I had a replacement part within a week at NO CHARGE!!! AWESOME - I MEAN AWESOME customer service! Thank you very much! March 5, 2013
The faucet is very well designed. Product is very easy to use. The soap dispenser is a nice feature and easy to fill from the top. Installation was quite easy. The unit is sollid and seems to be of very good quiaity. I'd recommend it to anyone . March 22, 2013
A good product I have only had the faucet for a short period of time, but I really like this faucet, I like the way it works and the way it looks. Hopefully, I will still be able to say that in a year or two. June 21, 2014

Answer:
Hi Kitchen Guru,

Thank you for your question. A cache aerator like the one used in Delta Faucet model # 16926-SD-DST is an aerator that is hidden up inside the spout. It usually needs a key to remove it.

Thanks.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 16926-SD-DST contains a soap dispenser that does not break down into separate parts. If you need a new bottle, a new soap dispenser will need to be purchased from your local retailer or wholesaler. The part number is Delta Faucet model # RP50781SS.

Replace aerator

In your FAQ about Lewiston faucet - a question as to how to replace the aerator is asked. The answer given is that it is not replaceable, and a whole new wand assy must be purchased. I just installed a Lewiston # 16926-SSSD-DST faucett and it came with a small blue wrench to remove the aerator which certainly looks to be replaceable. Can the aerator on my faucet be replaced and if so where can I obtain one as it is not listed in the parts diagram, also can I get just the soap dispenser bottle.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 16926-SSSD-DST contains a wand that has an aerator that does not have its own separate part number. The wrench can be used to remove the aerator for cleaning it. However, if the aerator needs replaced, then the whole wand will need to be replaced.

To your other question. the soap dispenser does not break down into separate parts. If you need to replace the bottle, the soap dispenser model number is RP50781SS.

Hot water takes forever

The faucet is pretty close to the water heater, perhaps 15 feet away. This faucet must have a lower flow than my previous 20 year old faucet, as it takes forever to get hot water now.

I see from another question that the aerator cannot be replaced. Is there a better wand help me such as the MultiFlow wand on the Linden? Or other suggestions to get hot water faster?

Thanks,

Jeff

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 16926T-SSSD-DST has a 1.5 gpm at 60 psi flow. Your older faucet may have had a stronger gpm. We do manufacture some pullout faucets that have 1.8 gpm. You may just need a higher flowing faucet.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model #16926-SSSD-DST does have a wand that will unscrew from the hose attachment. However, we would recommend just putting the head in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and cold water in a bowl in the sink and letting it soak overnight. This should loosen the mineral deposits.

Hi Cindy - What I do, is fill a coffee cup with CLR and pull the wand out and let it sit in the CLR for about 10 minutes and wipe if off. It comes out beautifully clean!
