General Faucet Installation Instructions

Debonair Pull-out Kitchen Faucet 4.1 5 17 17
The Delta faucet this replaced was a much better faucet. This Delta faucet replaced the new home Delta faucet of same design that was 12 years old. The finish on the new faucet spout is inconsistent and spots easily. The hose for the pull out spout readily kinks and stops water flow; this really inhibits the convenience of the pull out spout feature; often requires two hands to perform desired task; old faucet hose did not kink. The escutcheon of the new "replacement" market faucet has a smaller footprint than the "new home" faucet it replaced; thus the marring on the sink from previous Delta escutcheon is visible since new faucet installed. Overall, quite disappointed. November 28, 2014
okay for a little while We had this faucet in our old house and loved it. It seemed rock solid. So when we moved to a new house that needed a new sink and faucet we went straight for what we knew and loved. Upon installation it seemed cheaper - it wasn't as steady and solid and just didn't quite feel the same, but it worked fine and still looked great. Fast forward three years and now it's virtually impossible to get the water to stop; it takes a lot of very fine tuning to finally shut the water off and it's getting worse, fast. I'm afraid we'll be resorting to the shut-off valves under the sink soon. Does Delta just not make 'em like they used too? I'm pretty frustrated that a company with a reputation like Delta would make something that seems like it's only got a usable life of 3 years. December 30, 2014
much better product than price-pfister This faucet replaced a similar price-pfister unit that failed after 6 months. When we installed the P-P faucet it took 2 hours and a special basin wrench to complete. After the unit failed we got the Delta. No special tools needed and it was in place and working in 30 minutes. A great product! A family member works at Lowe's (where both units were purchased) and will definitely recommend Delta over Price-Pfister. November 5, 2012
Decent Faucet I do like the way it looks and the concept of the integrated pull-out sprayer with just a button to push to access it. However, I find the water flow with the sprayer to be pretty weak (though, maybe that's an issue with my home's water pressure). The valve that shuts off/turns on the water failed after only a few months, but Delta replaced the part for free with free overnight shipping. Excellent customer service! Overall, I wished I would have paid a little more and gotten a higher-end Delta model. March 3, 2014
After 3 weeks already difficult to shut off I've had this unit installed for just three weeks (by a professional plumber) and already am experiencing difficulty completely shutting the water off. I have to precisely center the handle and push down all the way (sometimes putting pressure on it more than once) to get the water to stop leaking. Over time, I can only see this getting worse. This shouldn't happen with a brand new faucet! Also, the water flow is disappointing compared to the 7 year-old Delta faucet I replaced. Takes a lot longer to get my dishes washed now. I don't believe this was a good investment. April 23, 2015
Awkward to use. The pull-out sprayer is too bulky and hard to maneuver. If I could chose again, I would try the smaller, pull-down sprayer. Also, it's hard to get a range of warm water temperatures. There's very little distance between Hot and Cold in the temperature regulator. I don't like the finish either. It shows every little drop and finger print so requires constant wiping-down to look nice. June 7, 2013
Great Faucet! I spent 2 hours reviewing over a dozen faucets and decided on this one. With Delta's reputation and warranty I felt I could not go wrong. The faucet has been in service for 4 months and works just as good as the day I installed. I would recommend this faucet and brand to my friends without hesitation. July 7, 2012
We have been very happy with our new kitchen faucet. The quality is much more improved than the previous faucet we had installed. March 13, 2013

What can I do to increase the water flow?

I recently purchased your Debonair 16927-SSSD-DST faucet to replace a similar Moen. I am very disappointed that the water flow rate is very low, much lower than my previous Moen.

Is there a flow restrictor that can be removed? If so, please tell me how to remove it. If it can't be fixed, can I exchange it for another faucet that will deliver a better flow of water?

I need to know how to fix this thing.

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 16927-SSSD-DST has a 1.5 gpm. There is not a flow restrictor for you to remove. We do offer a few faucets that have a 2.0 gpm that may be better to your liking. The Addison series (Delta Faucet model # 9192-SS-DST) has a multi-flow that dellvers both 1.5 for water effienciecy and 2.0 gmp for high performance.
