Reviews

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 35 reviewers.
Rated 2 out of 5 by not what I would have expected from Delta I got this faucet less than a year ago and have already put 3 kits in it due to leaking, and handle not returning to center to shut off. This time, I have noticed it took all of three days to start leaking again, but it also is flopping around, the piece that tightens it down broke off. I can hardly use the faucet now and am rather frustrated. If I fix it again, it will only do the same thing. Overall, I have always loved Delta products, and tried to have them in my homes. I hope this is just a design flaw, and not overall standard for their products now. I believe they are one of the best in the industry, except this model. July 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by installation was easy & faucet works well the installation was done easily by following the instructions. The faucet works well. I like the single valve design and am hoping for many years of "no leaks". One of the items I liked most is Delta's web site. I really like how easy it was to create a profile, add the faucet owned to the profile and list every single spare part needed so that if a spare part is ever needed (say 10-15 years from now), I can go to my profile, get the part number and order it quickly. Rated 2 out of 5 by Handle won't stay in place The faucet installed easily and fit was good but after about a month of use the handle wont stay in place. This is the part that gets a lot of use and one would think that this part would be better engineered for ease of use. I'm probably going to replace it because in it's current state it's too aggravating to deal with. This was my 4th Delta faucet and it's kind of disappointing March 31, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Delta Kitchen Faucet Model # 16953-SS-DST I have purchased many Delta faucets in the past, being fully satisfied with each of them; however, this particular faucet is poorly engineered and lasted appx. five months before the spray wand started flopping around in the spout. It's almost impossible to seat the spray wand back into the spout opening after using hot water. The poor fit between the spray wand and the spout causes the spray wand to turn to the side while in the spout, spraying water either to the left or right where it is not desired. I would recommend that consumers go with a different Delta product or a different manufacturer when purchasing a faucet of this type. September 15, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Looking good so far. Time will tell. I'm replacing a 10 year old single valve Delta faucet. I decided to replace rather than rebuild. The new 06953 is certainly a lot more plastic. The old unit was heavy and durable looking. I'm not impressed with the light plastic design but I suppose that's the trend. Time will reveal durability and reliability. I have several other Delta products I'm happy with. August 27, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by hard to cut off We are used to single handle faucet but, this one you have to pay attention, if you don't return handle to mid position when you cut off, the water will keep running. several times we have found later that the water didn't cut all the way off. It's taken a lot to get use too. also faucet could be a little longer to reach further towards middle of sink, don't always need to use pull out. January 20, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Looks nice, but poorly designed Looks nice, and was easy to install, but a month later the wand won't sit in the hub properly. There is a rubber o-ring that holds the wand into place when inserted into the hub and it keeps slipping off and falling down the hose. So every time it happens I have to disconnect the hose and look for the rubber o-ring, which is a pain. Other than that, The faucet is great. March 31, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very easy to install This faucet was a snap to install but it helped to have my wife available to hold the faucet steady while I fastened the nuts from underneath to secure the faucet to the sink. The only real problem was the water lines. They are non-flexible tubing that were much longer than I needed so had to cut to size to attach to the water outlets. Not easy to do. It would be a big help if the tubing was flexible so it could easily be coiled to attach to the outlet.. Over all I'm very happy with the results and with the faucet appearance and operation. I researched other faucets and found this one to have the best feature for the price. April 9, 2016

I've found it difficult to replace the cartridge in single lever faucets. Has anyone ever replaced parts that cause the faucet to leak? What is your experience?

Hi New Purchaser, Thank you for your question!
The RP50587 valve assembly is fairly easy to install. The part should include installation instructions when ordering it but we also have a " How to video" on the installation. Here is a link to the video:

installing on a stainless steel sink

Can the Grant faucet be installed on a stainless steel sink, that is, is there a minimum sink thickness for installing this faucet? If approved for installation in a stainless steel sink are there any additional installation steps not shown in the installation instructions?

Is there a way to adjust the water temperature on my Delta Model 16953 DST kitchen faucet?

There seems to be little or no variation in the handle to adjust to hot or cold water temperature. The water runs either scalding hot or freezing cold. If there is a way I can fix this issue, I would be very happy!! Thanks for your help!

Need a quick disconnect connector that will fit this faucet

I want to connect a portable washer to the 16953-DST faucet in my kitchen but the threads on the aerator are non-standard and I am not able to find an adapter. Please advise on the part # for an adapter to change from the aerator thread size to a standard aerator thread size - or - the part # for a quick connect that will fit this aerator thread and attach to 3/4in pipe thread.
Thanks!

Answer:
Hi Dan, Thank you for your question. We do not recommend hooking up a portable dishwasher to the model 16953-DST faucet. Portable dishwashers should never be connected to Pull-out or Pull-down kitchen faucets due to potential pressure fluctuations during dishwasher operation that may result in rupturing of the hose.
Thanks,
Dave

Answer:
Yes, we just purchased this model and it does swivel between the 2 sinks. You have to be careful in installing as we initially had it where it was swiveling only on the one side, almost to the wall behind the sink. Stopping, centering, and readjusting the faucet allows it to smoothly arc between the 2 sinks.
