Pilar Single Handle Bar/Prep Faucet with Touch2O® Technology

My faucet can take 10-20 seconds to shut off after a touch.
The faucet worked fine for about a year. After I replaced the batteries the first time, it now takes forever to shut off after a touch. Sometimes, it never does and I have to do it with the handle. Sometimes, it will very gradually reduce the flow and finally shut off after a period of time (which ranges from a few seconds to almost half a minute.) I tried a new set of new batteries, just to be sure, and that didn't change anything. Anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?

Would the pilar single handle bar/prep faucet w/Touch20 work if the 2 holes are 6" apart (or must they be 4")?

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 1980T-SS-DST will work at 6" apart. However, the connection between the handle and spout will be at more of an angle, so the spout may not rotate as easily.Skill Level: Advanced

If a family member uses the touch technology to turn on the faucet & then turns off the faucet manually in error, does this goof-up the faucet?
Conversely if one turns on the faucet manually & then turns it off by touch, is this eventually harmful to the Pilar faucet?

Thanks for your question. Delta Faucet model # 1980T-RB-DST can be used in the touch mode or in a manual mode and they can be switched back and forth with no harm coming to the faucet.Skill Level: Advanced
