Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful, with a few caveats Looks: This is a beautiful faucet and changed the entire look of our kitchen. Installation was challenging for my husband, who is fairly handy. We almost had to call a plumber, but he got it. Performance: You have to be careful to turn it off in the correct position, or it drips a little. Also, the sprayer doesn't retract automatically once extended; you have to sort of feed it back in. I don't use the sprayer too often, so it's not a big problem. I like the soap dispenser. We've only had it for a few weeks, so I can't comment on long-term performance. May 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Finish We installed this faucet about 6 months ago and we love it. the finish is fantastic, and the pull down feature is so much better than having the seperate sprayer on the side. We can switch from "stream" of water to a "shower" of water. The arc of the spout allows for filling up tall things including vases much easier and faster. Plus if you have something that needs to "soak" but is too big for the bottom of the sink you can pull the spout down and it will easily reach an area beside the sink with out spraying down the kitchen. well worth the money. Rated 5 out of 5 by Good decision After reading lots of reviews I choose the Delta Savile. It looks so much better in real life than online. I love the strong magnate to hold it in place while not in use. I actually saw some other brands in the stores and they already were sagging. This is a strong magnate that will last. It also comes with a soap/lotion dispenser with is great for having less clutter on the sink. The color is great and the style is sleek and classic. All in all, very good quality with a great warranty, if you will need it. July 7, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Faucet Love everything about it except one thing. When you pull the head of the faucet out to use as a sprayer to fill up the coffee maker which is higher than where the faucet sits it pinches off the water pressure unless you take your other hand and pull the flexible tube down more from the faucet. This is more of a problem with the design for any manufacturer of this type of product and is why I gave the design 4 out of 5 stars but still a great faucet once you get use to the hot and cold functions. Rated 2 out of 5 by Leak from base of handle. The unit as a whole was a nice piece. We noticed after a couple of days that there was water accumulating at the base of the unit. After watching it a few days and had a plummer out to check our pipes and the assembly it was determined that there was a leak from the base of the handle itself. We returned the unit. We ended up with a similar unit but from Moen. From date of installation, now 2 1/2 weeks, we've had NO leaks. Sorry, I did like Delta's style a bit more. January 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Kitchen Faucet Recommendation The faucet purchased replaced a Delta faucet that we had for seven years. We replaced the Delta Faucet because the replacement part (provided free of charge) could not be delivered for almost two months. This was too long, made more especially so because it happened right before Christmas when my kids and other family was due to visit. But I purchased a new Delta faucet and it was very easy to install and looks great. January 15, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent design love this faucet, seems like you are in five star hotel room or in custom made designer home. love to do the dishes over and over again. the only problem i have so far is the soap dispenser, by keep filling the dispenser again and again the head has come apart and becomes difficult to pull out for the refill. it does have life time warranty as per the box, so i am gonna see if the company is gonna replace that. September 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product Deltas reputation lead us to purchasing this faucet and we certainly were not disappointed. Style, function and reliability all wrapped up in a great price. The only negative ting I have to say is that the installation was a four out of five. But understanding that Delta must market their product for various applications, I soon had it in and working with little resentment. Other then this, we are thrilled.. February 24, 2013

Is there a smaller soap dispenser bottle available?

The soap dispenser bottle comes down directly on top of my water valve and because of that I am unable to use it. I'm disappointed becaus the dispenser was one on the reasons I went with this model.

Leak coming from one of the pipes/nuts in the unused hole next to faucet.

Water that gets around plate appears to be seeping under plate and going through hole. Do I need to caulk around base plate to prevent seeping under plate through extra hole?

Hello Marie,

Thanks for your question. I'm sorry to hear about the issues you are having with your Delta kitchen faucet and I will be happy to help. You can use silicone sealant on the underside of the base plate. This should help seal it to the counter top.

What is the black plastic sleeve around the cold water supply tube?

There was a square black plastic sleeve on the cold water supply tube. This was not shown in the instructions and doesn't seem to serve any purpose. Was this supposed to be removed? It says "cut here to remove" but I didn't want to nick the pex tube trying to cut it off.

Hi Jim,

Thank you for your question! Once the wand assembly is removed from the hose, it does not come apart further. We recommend soaking it in a 50/50 white vinegar and water solution for 15-30 minutes, then run water through it backwards. This should help remove any mineral buildup or debris.

Thanks,
Jon

If I but a savile, can I install it with one hole or does it have to have two?

I am installing new granite countertops and I can drill any number of holes. I am undecided whether or not to install the soap dispenser.

Answer:
We installed ours with one hole, and it looks very nice. We didn't install the soap dispenser, because those ALWAYS end up breaking over time, and then we'd have a permanent hole in our granite. What would we do then? I'm glad we just did the one hole.

Here's another thought... I saw the soap dispensers on eBay for $15 or $20. I guess you could sell the one you have if you don't install it. OR, if you do install it, and it breaks, you can always buy a new one for fairly cheap. Of course, when all the ones that match are gone, then what? You could buy one that doesn't match! Haha!

Best wishes with your decision.

I didn't install the soap dispenser - so you only need 1 hole if you don't want it. It's not an integral part of the faucet.

Low water flow

I have a Delta model 19949-DST kitchen facet. It has very low water flow and it is not caused by the head of the facet the sprayer head has been cleaned repeatedly as Delta has recommended. The water flow from the pipe is adequate so it has to be between the water pipe connection to the sprayer head. What do you recommend?

Answer:
Hi Rich, We are sorry that you are experiencing a problem with your model 19949-SSSD-DST faucet. You can remove the wand and turn the faucet on to flush the lines. Pull out the RP50587 valve assembly and make sure that it is free of any debris or mineral build up. As a final step unscrew the supply lines from the shut off valves under the sink after you have turned off the water supply. Make sure that they are clean and free of debris and that nothing is blocking the flow of water out of the shut offs themselves. Here is a link to the parts breakdown of your faucet to help with the repair.

Answer:
Hi Smiller, Thank you for your question. You can replace the 1.8 gallon per minute aerator in you model 19949-SSSD-DST faucet for one with a lower flow rate. The RP60983 at 1.5 gpm, the RP63886 at 1.0 gpm, and the RP60729 at 0.5 gpm will all fit your faucet model.
