Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 71 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by like the style The overall look and operation is very good, but what I don't like is the fact that the handle has to be perfectly centered to completely shut off the water. If I'm running hot water and move the handle left to shut it off it continues to run until I pull the handle back to the center position. I've had several single control faucets and used many others and never did I have to locate the temperature center to completely shut off the water. I also find my water left running from other people that use the faucet. I constantly have to remind everyone how to shut the water off. May 29, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Faucet - Very Solid Feel This is a very nice faucet - installs easily, works well, very solid feel. The MagnaTite feature keeps the spray wand locked securely in place. I am impressed. The only issue I had is that there is a plastic piece which holds the length of the spray wand together under the sink, which malfunctioned. When I contacted Delta - they were great - and sent me a new one. Interestingly, they had updated the design to a blue piece, which was far more secure than the black one included with the faucet. But great customer service by Delta, though they might have done a recall on the black plastic pieces, and replaced them with the blue ones. Other than that - A+ ! May 8, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great quality, backed by exceptional customer service Am completely pleased by this faucet in all respects. A great combination of aesthetics and function, at a reasonable price, considering the quality. In addition, I think it is important and relevant to mention that I had posted a positive comment (elsewhere) about this faucet, and was pleasantly surprised to have later been contacted by Delta customer service (even though I hadn't requested it). They were proactive and clearly desired to ensure that I was completely satisfied with the product (which I was). The customer service alone is enough to make me a life-long Delta customer: superior quality and service at a competitive price -- what more could one ask for? April 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Our family is happy with this faucet. Everyone loved the upgrade and the kids were making excuses to use the new faucet. The Venetian bronze finish is attractive and goes well with our sink. The pull down handle is something I've always wanted and I'm glad this faucet has the MagnaTite docking system because I read reviews on other faucets where the docking systems failed and I'd be royally peeved if I purchased a faucet that suffered that failure. I wanted a high arching faucet and while that may have some drawbacks such as more likelihood of splashing, it's easily remedied. The benefit of being able to fill and wash pots and pans easier very much outweighs the drawbacks. Installation was a breeze. The worst part was getting the old faucet out as the nuts were difficult to loosen and there wasn't much room to work. Once that was out I had this faucet connected and running leak-free in 20 minutes and I had never installed a faucet before. I did have to enlarge the soap dispenser hole with a grinding bit on a drill but that wasn't difficult at all. The cons are that the handle takes some getting used to finding a position for warm water but I think that's minor and may be fixed setting the faucet handle to the other limited range position but I don't care enough to try that. The soap dispenser is plastic but maybe that's a functional choice, I don't know, if not I'd rather have paid a little more for a metal one. Also the soap dispenser sits a little low off the top of the sink (2.25 inches). It's not a big deal on my sink as it juts out over the sink but depending on how wide your sink top is, it could be. Overall, I think these cons are minor. Bottom line, everyone loves the look of and performance of this new faucet. Installation was a snap. I could have purchased a cheaper faucet, but I don’t think I’d be as pleased. We’re very happy with this purchase. September 29, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by The pulldown faucet feature is wonderful Delta's name, reputation, our prior Delta purchases, the look & features of this model are what prompted us to buy this kitchen faucet. We have been using it almost 4 months & are very pleased with the push button ease of using either spray or stream, & the firm magnetic fit of the hose when retracted into the faucet. The high rise faucet makes cleaning up larger items much easier, & the pull down hose is very convenient for smaller items & washing out the sink. I am becoming more used to being able to fully turn the water off (on the first try), as it must be exactly in the middle position. June 13, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent features but doesn't mount in ALL sinks well We like the features of this faucet. Easy to install except it doesn't mount well when installing in an "under mount" sink which has 2 3/8" mounting hole (it appears most do) as opposed to "top mount sinks" which have a 1 3/8" mounting hole. Our counter top mounting holes had been drilled to 2" so the upper portion of the faucet mounted ok. We had to make a spacer plate to place under our under mount sink so that "Mounting Bracket (RP52609)" would secure properly & not partially slip into the mount hole portion of our sink (a week after our plumber installed the faucet). November 18, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Disappointed We purchased the Delta Saville and had it professionally installed. It worked perfectly for a couple of days until water was no longer able to flow from the head. Our professional removed the head and water flows as expected. Now we have to drive 60 miles to Lowe's and try to see what can be done to alleviate this problem. We no longer have the box because we unfortunately expected this Delta system to perform as perfectly as others in our home. So we have no serial number and can't register it. We are very disappointed. April 14, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Drawbacks of this faucet I feel the arched spout sits up too high. Wish the spray was more adjustable. Find it hard to adjust the water temperature. It is very touchy about getting it just right. Wish the soap dispenser was a little higher. For the money was hoping for something a little more practical. Otherwise the faucet is fine. June 12, 2012

If I but a savile, can I install it with one hole or does it have to have two?

I am installing new granite countertops and I can drill any number of holes. I am undecided whether or not to install the soap dispenser.

I didn't install the soap dispenser - so you only need 1 hole if you don't want it. It's not an integral part of the faucet.

Answer:
We installed ours with one hole, and it looks very nice. We didn't install the soap dispenser, because those ALWAYS end up breaking over time, and then we'd have a permanent hole in our granite. What would we do then? I'm glad we just did the one hole.

Here's another thought... I saw the soap dispensers on eBay for $15 or $20. I guess you could sell the one you have if you don't install it. OR, if you do install it, and it breaks, you can always buy a new one for fairly cheap. Of course, when all the ones that match are gone, then what? You could buy one that doesn't match! Haha!

Best wishes with your decision.

Low water flow

I have a Delta model 19949-DST kitchen facet. It has very low water flow and it is not caused by the head of the facet the sprayer head has been cleaned repeatedly as Delta has recommended. The water flow from the pipe is adequate so it has to be between the water pipe connection to the sprayer head. What do you recommend?

Answer:
Hi Rich, We are sorry that you are experiencing a problem with your model 19949-SSSD-DST faucet. You can remove the wand and turn the faucet on to flush the lines. Pull out the RP50587 valve assembly and make sure that it is free of any debris or mineral build up. As a final step unscrew the supply lines from the shut off valves under the sink after you have turned off the water supply. Make sure that they are clean and free of debris and that nothing is blocking the flow of water out of the shut offs themselves. Here is a link to the parts breakdown of your faucet to help with the repair.

Hi Smiller, Thank you for your question. You can replace the 1.8 gallon per minute aerator in you model 19949-SSSD-DST faucet for one with a lower flow rate. The RP60983 at 1.5 gpm, the RP63886 at 1.0 gpm, and the RP60729 at 0.5 gpm will all fit your faucet model.

Is there any way to adjust the faucet so it is easier to find the warm water setting?

It seems like there is only a tiny "sweet spot" to get warm water. Move it a little bit one way or the other, and it is either extremely hot or cold.

Do you have a taller arch that can be used with the savile kitchen faucet? We have the bronze finish.

Our sink is about an inch below the counter surface. Two or more inches taller would make a big difference in our kitchen. Thank you.

Answer:
This faucet is mounted directly to my granite counter top with a single-hole installation. There is 7" clearance between the counter top and spout of the faucet.
If your separator is at the same level as your counter top, you should have 7" of clearance. If your sink is an under-mount sink, you would have additional clearance, whatever the difference is between the counter top and top of your separator.
