Savile Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet with Soap Dispenser 4.6 5 27 27
like the style The overall look and operation is very good, but what I don't like is the fact that the handle has to be perfectly centered to completely shut off the water. If I'm running hot water and move the handle left to shut it off it continues to run until I pull the handle back to the center position. I've had several single control faucets and used many others and never did I have to locate the temperature center to completely shut off the water. I also find my water left running from other people that use the faucet. I constantly have to remind everyone how to shut the water off. May 29, 2012
The pulldown faucet feature is wonderful Delta's name, reputation, our prior Delta purchases, the look & features of this model are what prompted us to buy this kitchen faucet. We have been using it almost 4 months & are very pleased with the push button ease of using either spray or stream, & the firm magnetic fit of the hose when retracted into the faucet. The high rise faucet makes cleaning up larger items much easier, & the pull down hose is very convenient for smaller items & washing out the sink. I am becoming more used to being able to fully turn the water off (on the first try), as it must be exactly in the middle position. June 13, 2012
Our family is happy with this faucet. Everyone loved the upgrade and the kids were making excuses to use the new faucet. The Venetian bronze finish is attractive and goes well with our sink. The pull down handle is something I've always wanted and I'm glad this faucet has the MagnaTite docking system because I read reviews on other faucets where the docking systems failed and I'd be royally peeved if I purchased a faucet that suffered that failure. I wanted a high arching faucet and while that may have some drawbacks such as more likelihood of splashing, it's easily remedied. The benefit of being able to fill and wash pots and pans easier very much outweighs the drawbacks. Installation was a breeze. The worst part was getting the old faucet out as the nuts were difficult to loosen and there wasn't much room to work. Once that was out I had this faucet connected and running leak-free in 20 minutes and I had never installed a faucet before. I did have to enlarge the soap dispenser hole with a grinding bit on a drill but that wasn't difficult at all. The cons are that the handle takes some getting used to finding a position for warm water but I think that's minor and may be fixed setting the faucet handle to the other limited range position but I don't care enough to try that. The soap dispenser is plastic but maybe that's a functional choice, I don't know, if not I'd rather have paid a little more for a metal one. Also the soap dispenser sits a little low off the top of the sink (2.25 inches). It's not a big deal on my sink as it juts out over the sink but depending on how wide your sink top is, it could be. Overall, I think these cons are minor. Bottom line, everyone loves the look of and performance of this new faucet. Installation was a snap. I could have purchased a cheaper faucet, but I don’t think I’d be as pleased. We’re very happy with this purchase. September 29, 2012
Drawbacks of this faucet I feel the arched spout sits up too high. Wish the spray was more adjustable. Find it hard to adjust the water temperature. It is very touchy about getting it just right. Wish the soap dispenser was a little higher. For the money was hoping for something a little more practical. Otherwise the faucet is fine. June 12, 2012
Greatest kitchen faucet I could find...and I looked! The design is great. I love the magnetic holder on the spray head, the ease of changing from a steady stream to a spray, the tension on the sprayer hose, and the the one step, single, faucet handle. On the negative side: I found the installation instructions to be unclear, especially the first steps when not using the single hole installation. There were just too many parts, and nothing saying that they were not needed! The instructions need to be more clear on how to install the three hole mount and base plate. February 22, 2013
This faucet is awsome! This is without a doubt the most expensive faucet I've ever purchased. I was tired of leaks, loose fittings, and repairs that were needed at the worst possible time. I am absolutely pleased with the quality and performance not to mention the appearance and compliments from others. Well worth it. June 13, 2012
Excellent Faucet My plumber recommended Delta faucet due to their easability to install.........I was torn between this (one which pulsl down) and the one that pulls out.........I don't regret my decision...it is a beautiful, it works with ease, and my plumber this type that pulls down last longer due to the design..........So overall I am very pleased with my purchase.... December 24, 2012
Excellent appearance! I found this product to fit many of the needs I required for a replacement faucet. It takes a little getting use to adjusting the water flow to advoid water splashing back out of the sink. I was a little apprehensive when I opened the package and found all plastic piping to the valve body for the price being charged. The installation instructions could have been a little clearer. For one thing, if I needed the stabilization plate (which is not included, nor was this referenced any where on the outside box) I could obtain one free of charge by calling a toll free number. Most of the time, when a replacement faucet is purchased, the installation is imeadiate and there is no reason to call up and wait for a part. If this were needed, I would have returned this item to the store and purchased a different faucet that was complete for my needs. Overall, the appearance is excellent, the features are well thought out, and so far there are no leaks with all the plastic piping. March 18, 2013

go to your local ACE hardware store and get or have ordered sku#4238911, which costs around $4.50. It's a stainless steel hole cover that matches the faucet finish.

Answer:
I don't know if there is a plug or not, but if you use the plate (long metal piece) it may cover the hole. I actually have 3 soap dispensers in my kitchen (hand soap, dish soap and hand lotion), so I am wondering why you would not want to use the soap dispenser. It takes bottles off the counter tops and makes for a more tidy appearance. Sorry, I am not much help.

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 19949-SSSD-DST does include a soap dispenser with the faucet but it is not necessary to the operation of the faucet. Delta Faucet does not manufacture hole covers for your sink but they are out there. Check with your local retailer or wholesaler for the hole covers.

Is there a way to increase the water pressure with this faucet?

We have great water pressure in the rest of our house and it was good with the old faucet. Since installing this faucet the water pressure isn't good. What's the point of having the sprayer if the pressure isn't hard enough to remove gunk from dishes? Otherwise we love the overall look and performance of the faucet so far.

Thank you for your question. This faucet is able to be installed with a long escutcheon plate or as a single hole with a smaller escutcheon plate. The smaller escutcheon plate for a single hole installation is model # RP63197SS. If you no longer have this part, it may be ordered and purchased from you local retailer or wholesaler.

I believe you should be able to. I just installed it without the base piece. If you don't have the original hardware that came with it for installing without the base plate I believe you'd need this piece: http://www.deltafaucet.com/repairparts/details/rp63197rb.html

I would confirm with customer service though. Good Luck.

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 19949-SSSD-DST can become clogged due to mineral deposits. Only Delta faucets are equipped with Touch-Clean® soft, rubber nubbins that allow you to easily wipe away calcium and lime build-up with the touch of a finger. You may also use a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and cold water to release the mineral deposits.

How can I stop the faucet from dripping?

Yes, it's turned off. But when I turn it off, there's water that's still dripping. I've had to use paper towel to dry the pull down spout because I'm never sure if it's off or if it's just getting rid of what was left over. Each time it's always "left over" water, the faucet isn't turned on. It's really irritating. Some help would be appreciated. Thanks

Can I make an adjustment to the sprayer assembly spray/non-spray lever.

All of a sudden, while in use, the flow volume minimized quite a bit. I used the tool, removed and cleaned the "screen" and it didn't help. I then removed the sprayer assembly and the flow through the hose without the assembly was "normal". The lever feels like it's restricted a little when moved into the non-spray position. This unit was installed just 9 months ago and our household has 2 retired residents who don't really use the faucet often..........and really don't move the lever to spray even once a week. In other words, the faucet and lever get far less than "normal" wear and tear.

Easy return of the faucet head

hello,
I put in this beautiful faucet and it works fine. However, when
we pull out the faucet head it does not return back when released. We have to push it back until the magnets are very close to each other to pull it in.
Is this the way that is suppose to work or should it be able to return back on its own?

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 19949-RBSD-DST does have the MagnaTite docking system so it should be aligning your faucet back into place. It is not designed to "pull" your wand back into place. We recommend that you make sure that your weight has been installed on the hose assembly. This will also help pull your wand back into the spout.
