Leland Kitchen Single Handle Pull Down Faucet 4.7 5 15 15
Delta is the best. When we looked for a replacement for our old, failing faucet, we were advised by the salesperson in the home improvement center to get a Delta because they are hands down the best. We instead bought a Moen faucet we thought would be the answer, but within one week of installation, it began to drip near the faucet handle so we returned it. We purchased the Leland and it has proved to be an outstanding faucet. It works perfectly and I am especially happy the way the spray, stream feature works, i.e, you don't have to hold a button depressed to get spray; you select it and it stays selected until you unselect it. Great work Delta. A faucet to brag about. I highly recommend it. June 12, 2012
Excellent faucet but instructions need work This faucet seems very sturdy and well made, well designed. Using it, we feel that it's a quality product. Our only complaint came during installation. I've installed a lot of faucets, so I know what I'm doing and I have the right tools. Despite this, I had a hard time installing this faucet because the instructions were so confusing. For example, nowhere did they say that the strengthening plate, when used, replaced the lower portion of the mounting hardware. Installation only took a couple of minutes once we figured out how to to it. Figuring it out took a lot longer. November 26, 2012
I love my new faucet! I love my new faucet almost as much as I love my new sink! It started with a leaky builder grade Moen. When we couldn't get the disposal off, we ended up replacing the whole lot. I love the pull down sprayer and the soap dispenser. The finish, just what I wanted; matte and spot resistant, is great and the traditional styling is what I wanted too. Not too trendy, not old fashioned, just right. Go Delta! June 12, 2012
Convenience and beauty Ina quality product Chose this model because of the features of one handle, and the magnet that holds the spray head in place. The pull down head makes cleaning the sink and dishes a breeze but filling the coffee maker without having to use the coffee carafe makes it worth it's weight in gold. Installation was straightforward and easy. I have received numerous comments on it's design and looks. And most important, my wife loves it. June 13, 2012
Love my new faucet. Love this faucet. The only thing that would make it better if the pull down sprayer had a shut off button as well as spray and regular flow. Easy to keep clean and looking new. I love it. June 13, 2012
The ultimate faucet First of all, this faucet replaced another Delta during a kitchen remodel. I found the single-mount installation easy, especially like the long water supply lines, and the convenient retaining nut tool included in the package. It looks and works great, and if the diamond anti-leak technology works as advertised, I hope to never have to replace parts for a very long time, if ever. May 30, 2012
Perfect match for the sink and counter we installed. That's about it... it's a perfect match for the deep sink we installed. And it was easy to install. July 3, 2012
Great Kitchen Faucet Looks great, feels solid. Very functional design. Simplest installation ever, though the installation directions could have been clearer, most of the details were self-evident for someone with basic plumbing experience. Only had it in place since late DEC 2012 so no long term info but so far very happy. The few times that I have had issues with Delta fixtures, customer service was outstanding. Very loyal customer. Material of pull-down hose?

Is the outside of the covering of the pull-down hose braided stainless steel, or nylon or something else? Is the pull-down hose part of the Life-time Warranty? If not Stainless Steel, which Delta products have the stainless steel braided hose?

Answer:
Hi Numberkruncher, Thank you for your question. The RP50390 hose for the model 19978-SSSD-DST faucet is made of braided polymer over an Ultracore liner. The hose is covered as part of our warranty. We do not currently offer any faucets with stainless steel braided hoses.

Can this be mounted with the handle in front, rather than the side, or will the tabs in the escutcheon prevent this?

Answer:
Hi Kevin,

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 19978-SSSD-DST can be mounted with the handle in the front by turning the whole hub when installing it. This will make your hot and cold side to side instead of front to back.

Thanks.

Answer:
I believe it has to be mounted to the side. Also, cold is pulling toward you and hot is pushing away from you. If you rotate it to the front, cold would be left and hot right, which would be backward with respect to most faucets.

I Need A Part

Customer avatar

Goose Neck
Cleveland, OH, USA
My new faucet has three holes in the escutcheon plate but I only need the center and left ones for the faucet and soap dispenser respectively. I need a plug or cap to put over the hole on the right, which is open all the way down into the cabinet below the sink.

I didn't see any references in my user guide nor did I when looking at your online inventory. Can you please help me find a solution ?

Thanks !

Can you tell me if the soap dispenser that comes with the faucet is made out of a metal or a plastic? I'm only concerned with the part that shows above the counter.

Question about replacing an escutcheon with 2 holes

I am trying to replace a pull down faucet on a 10" escutcheon with TWO holes IN the escutcheon: one for the faucet and one for a soap dispenser located ON the escutcheon (4" left from center "faucet" hole). There is no 3rd hole ON the escutcheon. I am wondering if I can replace this faucet (not a Delta product) with Delta model # 978-SSSD-DST?????
Also, if I am mounting Delta model # 978-SSSD-DST on a THIN stainless steel sink, will I need both an escutcheon and a stabilization plate so that the weight of the faucel and soap dispenser do not "warp: or bend the sink?
Thank you

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 978-SSSD-DST will require 3 holes for installation. One will be for the spout, one for the handle, and one for the soap dispenser. We do offer the same model without the soap dispenser in Delta Faucet model # 978-SS-DST.

The faucet will include a stabilization plate to use when mounting on a thin sink.
