After turning off faucet, should water keep streaming for a bit and then drip two or three times before off

Additional information about Jene could not be loaded.
Just had this faucet installed in my kitchen sink. When you turn it off, hot or cold, water keeps streaming for a couple of seconds, then drips two or three times before completely stopping. Is this an installation problem or some other reason?

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model #2457 has a high arc spout. Once a faucet is turned to the off position, it is standard for any remaining water to drip out of the spout.Skill Level: Advanced

Received e-mail from Delta, I quote: "The Waterfall models are one of Delta's most popular lines. One of the characteristics of the Waterfall faucets is it's very high long spout that is connected by a hose to the handle and valve assembly. When you shut off the water at the handle, there may be up to a half gallon of water remaining in the hose and the spout. The water will continue to run out of the faucet for a few seconds after you shut it off. This is a normal characteristic of this type of faucet and there is no way to prevent this from happening. I sincerely apologize for any inconvience this characteristic has caused."Age: 65 or over
