Rated 5 out of 5 by Quality is Excellent! I am a showroom consultant. I have access to all brands, but chose Delta because of the forward thinking and innovation. I purchased this faucet with a Brizo RO faucet and installed myself. I am very impressed with Delta, the product and the quality. I believe in the product and as a showroom consultant have great confidence that Delta stands behind their product April 1, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Classic Elegance in Chrome When remodeling my kitchen I was looking for a faucet with some character, that was not too tall. I have a 6" deep cabinet above the sink with 16" of clearance from the counter to the cabinet. Many of the new high curved models were too tall. This was perfect. It is heavy, but the visual weight balances nicely with my new deep stainless sink. I never dreamed that when the kitchen was completed the sink and faucet would be my favorite new items. After a year of use I would not make a change. I love my faucet! I am now getting ready to make some bathroom changes and I will be getting more Delta products. March 23, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Looks Great Looks very elegant. Was simple to install. We wanted a Victorian style faucet and this fit the bill. Saw (on another web site) a questions about switching sides for handle and someone saying it only swung 120 degrees. Mine swung 360 degrees so valve should be able to be put on either side. If it is on left however the valve will rotate back for hot water, so make sure you have enough room between faucet and back splash. I did not so I put it on the right. Time will tell about finish staying good and valve not leaking. There is, however, a lifetime warranty and valve looks easy to replace. November 6, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by This is a big honkin faucet Got home last night and hubs had already installed this Cassidy faucet. This is not sized for a normal kitchen sink. It's big enough for a great big jetted tub or even an outdoor spa. I can't believe I am stuck with this thing. As soon as I save up enough money for a different faucet, this thing is coming out of my kitchen. The color is beautiful. The sprayer arm is very difficult to detach and re-attach but works great when you actually pull it away from the stationary faucet. Hubs said installation was a breeze. Just a design gone mad in my opinion. September 30, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Delta Cassidy 10" high Bronze faucet Installed this faucet with my new Blanco cafe brown sink and have only had it for about 3 weeks. Still getting use to the faucet being on the right side of the sink. My other 4 piece faucet set, the lever to turn on the water was on the left side. Love the bronze look and sprayer connected to the faucet. Keeps the sink and backsplash neat and clean. Had to get a 10 inch high faucet that cleared a window over my sink, that swings in to open. It also has a lifetime warranty and the clean feature, which will help with my hard water. I'm like that woman on the commercial, always wiping down the sink and faucet and telling everyone else to do the same. I'm sure this will wear off down the line. November 14, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by This is not your grandma's kitchen faucet This faucet is beautiful -- it manages to look both modern and antique-ish and I love the chrome look. The pull out sprayer works so well that I use it often. I never used the old-fashioned single sprayer previously installed in my sink. Since this faucet is a single hole type, I had to contact Faucet Direct customer service to find the correct baseplate and a soap dispenser that also matched. They were very knowledgable and even were able to ship all three items in one box, which arrived very quickly, too. I'm very happy with Faucet Direct and my new kitchen faucet. December 14, 2014

I am considering purchasing this faucet, but have concern with how easy it is to pull out and replace the wand.

I tried it at a friend's home, and it was very difficult to pull out. Could this be an installation issue? Is there somewhere near Gainesville GA that has the faucet in their showroom to try it?

Hi Gainesville Homeowner, Thank you for your question!
The pull out spray wand should not be difficult to remove and place back into the spout. Below is a link to the " where to buy" option in the website which will provide information on suppliers that may stock the product:

Does this faucet have MagnaTite docking? Is the faucet made entirely out of metal?

I'm wondering how this faucet docks after pulling out the sprayer and putting it back in. How well does it stay in place, does it have MagnaTite docking? Also I'm wondering what material the faucet is made from? I am looking for a faucet with very shiny chrome and am having a hard time telling how shiny the chrome finish is in the picture. When I compare it to other brands, their pictures look more shiny.

Answer:
Hi Andimay,

Thank you for your questions! It does not have MagnaTite docking, but does have tabs on the wand that slide onto slots in the hub to keep the wand stable when it is docked. The wand assembly is non-metallic, but the spout body and handle are metal. Our Chrome finish has a bright, shiny polish.

Answer:
Hi Jack,

Thank you for your question. This faucet will work with under-mount sinks. The maximum deck thickness is 2 1/2" if using the three-hole escutcheon or 3" for single-hole installations.

Is there a larger size escutcheon available for this model?

I am mounting this faucet on a vintage cast sink with previously a 3 hole mount faucet. The area has some discoloration I am trying to cover. I purchased a RP714545 escutcheon but it is a little short for the coverage area I need. Is there a larger one that is compatible?

Answer:
Hi Kitty, Thank you for your question. The model 4197-DST can be installed as a 1 or 3 hole installation. As long as you have space available you can add a soap/lotion dispenser to this faucet. The RP71543 coordinates with the Cassidy collection but you can choose which ever style you like to go with the faucet.

Dave

Answer:
Hi Spoobs, Thank you for your question. The lever on the model 4197-RB-DST cannot be positioned on the front of the faucet. The spout only travels 120 degrees and would not reach the majority of a sink or face completely forward.

Dave

I just had this faucet installed with our new granite counter tops. I love the look, but, there doesn't seem to be a lot of information in the owner's manual/installation guide.

Answer:
Hi Trezy, Thank you for your question. The pull out wand does simply pull out for use. You will then slide the wand back into the spout when finished. The weight under the counter will help with the hose when returning the wand to the spout. The button on the wand will allow you to toggle back and forth between stream and spray modes.
Thanks,
Dave

Answer:
Hi Rich, Thank you for your question. The main difference is in the styling of the faucet. Both faucets are single handle pullouts in the venetian bronze finish . The Cassidy model 4197-RB-DST has an integrated handle with the Euro motion cartridge and more intricate design. The Linden model 5353-RB-DST has more of a transitional design. The list price difference between the 2 models is approximately $35.
Thanks,
Dave
