Signature Single Handle Pull-Out Kitchen Faucet 3.3 5 7 7
Awkward The plumber installed this faucet as a repair, and he'll have to come back to replace it. The pull-out spray handle is very awkward for use in a kitchen sink. I find I have to pull the hose out all the way and hold it in one hand so I can control the sprayer with the other hand. The handle for the spray unit is so large and the hose so stiff it is impossible to fit the spray head down into the sink without changing grips. Also, the toggle switch for spray/stream is sticky, it took two of us to get it to move the first time. The pull-out unit doesn't nest back into the faucet very well. There is no "on/off" function on the spray nozzle, which is a key feature in a spray wand for a kitchen sink. The spray stream seems to weak and diffuse for cleaning. The pull-out part of the faucet is plastic and feels cheap. I believe the pull-out spray head on this kitchen faucet is more like what one might want in bath or shower than a kitchen sink. I'm switching to a different design. April 21, 2015
Switch wears out quickly. The switch that channels the water between spray and regular faucet wears out fairly quickly. You will know if it is wearing out when you have it switched to faucet and notice quite a bit of water is running out of the sprayer section. Being a maintenance man, I took it apart only to find it completely unserviceable! I was not happy with how short a life this thing had and now I have to replace it after owning and lightly using it for about 7 years. I do NOT recommend this product. I do like Delta overall, just not this piece of junk so buyer beware, you will be replacing this thing sooner than you think! July 16, 2012
Excellent Purchase Completely satisfied with this Delta 472 and the additional cold filtered water faucet, Kohler 6665 and Delta soap dispenser that was purchased on the same order. Very pleased with the exceptional telephone help received from Teri, your sales associate. The order was processed in a very timely manner and received the same. Thank you for a pleasant shopping experience. February 7, 2010
horrible A contractor bought this and installed it before I saw it. It is very cheap looking and looks and feels like plastic. I am going to have him replace it. The button you push to change the spray does not work well. Very disappointed in this faucet. There were no pros to this faucet. July 19, 2014
good for 13 years or more This purchase replaces a faucet of the same style in the Delta Signature series, that lasted for 13 yrs It was still working but I had a remodel and wanted everything new. June 29, 2012
Excellent upgrade Well packaged...prompt service and delivery...easy installation instructions...best the wife is very happy December 31, 2010
best all round choice This is a similar version to what we already had (originally installed 20yrs ago I believe.) The look is neat- not too tall that kids can pull at it and actually cause damage. The pullout works nicely but is not ALL THAT CONVENIENT. We don't use this feature much. We like it though because kids can pull on it and it won't break. It simply comes off. The handle has springiness to it that makes fine adjustment of the water temperature just a little bit tricky but we have got the hang of it now. Still we prefer the firm, not rubbery, feel of our old delta faucet. Faucet installation was clean, sturdy and fitted (one hole, stone countertops) It appears that there is no rubber or plastic gasket between countertop and faucet metal base. i.e. it's metal to stone- I guess it's OK but I would have prefered seeing an extra gasket there (none is provided however. (But this was the same on the old faucet and we never had any problems with that). After a few months- no leaks whatsoever. I like this model over many of the more expensive ones for its simplicity and elegance. Some of the more expensive ones actually look ugly. Chrome finish already has one ever so tiny scratch but really scratches on the finish don't look so bad if sink is aluminum. Overall, we are happy with it. April 22, 2011

Hi Dave, Thank you for your question. To stop a dripping 472-DST faucet you will first need to shut off the water supply to the faucet. Pry off the red/blue indicator button on the handle to access the set screw that holds the handle on the faucet. Use a 1/8" allen wrench to loosen the set screw, pull up to remove the handle. Unscrew the cap, and the bonnet nut in a counter-clockwise direction to remove and access the RP50587 valve assembly. Tightening the bonnet may stop the drip, if not the RP50587 will need to be replaced. Here is a link to the manual for your faucet model to help with the repair.

Answer:
Hi Imani, Thank you for your question. There is not an allen wrench that ships with the model 472-DST. The wrench size needed to tighten the handle is 1/8".
Thanks,
Dave
